  • Patent number: 12012127
Abstract: Tracking a current and/or previous position, velocity, acceleration, and/or heading of an object using sensor data may comprise determining whether to associate a current object detection generated from recently received (e.g., current) sensor data with a previous object detection generated from formerly received sensor data. In other words, a track may identify that an object detected in former sensor data is the same object detected in current sensor data. However, multiple types of sensor data may be used to detect objects and some objects may not be detected by different sensor types or may be detected differently, which may confound attempts to track an object. An ML model may be trained to receive outputs associated with different sensor types and/or a track associated with an object, and determine a data structure comprising a region of interest, object classification, and/or a pose associated with the object.

  • Patent number: 12012702
Abstract: A system and method for notifying drivers of an emergency condition along a highway includes mounting a plurality of speed control assemblies in a ground surface beneath the highway, each identifier including a geographic component. This method includes selectively moving a speedbump portion between retracted and raised configurations a predetermined distance above the highway. Alert data including an alert location may be communicated from a traffic control agency to the traffic control assemblies. Using the plurality of identifiers, this method includes identifying respective speed control assemblies that are located within a predetermined distance upstream of the alert location and incrementally actuating the identified speed control assemblies to the raised configurations, respectively. Each incrementally raised configuration causes an increased impact with an associated sound and vibrational sensation to an automobile traveling upon the highway upstream of the alert location.

  • Patent number: 12012842
Abstract: A computer implemented method of predicting a future maintenance event of a pumping equipment on a wellbore pumping unit comprising loading a pump usage log and a pump maintenance log into a predictive maintenance model. The predictive maintenance model is trained by a machine learning process with a historical database of completed pumping jobs. The predictive maintenance model determines a probability of a future maintenance event in response to the current pump usage. The unit controller displays an alert of the remaining pump life in comparison to a threshold value for a recommended pump maintenance period or a required pump maintenance period.

  • Patent number: 12014599
Abstract: A system and methods for tracking and fulfillment of casino gift items. For instance, the system animates a list gifts that are available to the player account via a casino promotion. One or more of the gift items can be pre-selected before being earned. The pre-selected gift items appear on a user interface that combines content for the gift promotion with content for a wagering game played during the player account session. A progress meter, for each gift item, shows an incremental increase in rewards points until enough rewards points accrue to redeem the gift item. The system automatically interfaces with a store front that provides the gift item. The system transacts fulfillment of the gift redemption and initiates (via the store front) the shipment of the gift item directly to a mailing address associated with the player account.

  • Patent number: 12012333
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed that monitor the carbon and hydrogen production of a pyrolysis reactor system and adjust one or more inputs to the reactor system to improve performance when one or both of the monitored carbon and hydrogen production falls outside of a target performance specification. In particular, the ratio of fuel to oxidant (“fuel/oxidant ratio”) supplied to a combustion chamber of the reactor system is adjusted to below a fuel/oxidant equivalence ratio range, defined as 0.9-1.1, when both carbon and hydrogen production falls below a target carbon and hydrogen specification, and adjusted above the fuel/oxidant equivalence ratio range when only the carbon production falls below a target carbon specification. The target specification can include a number of parameters including production rate, morphology (of carbon), and operating temperature.

  • Patent number: 12015598
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to enable a distinction between “new” and “used” digital content and to enable a market in used digital content files between mobile phone terminals and an electronic store, securely, by means of a wireless telephony network and a server complex to handle contents right management, transaction reporting, inventory, content delivery, payment, and billing. A server receives a signal generated by a wireless user device that was sent over a wireless telephony network. The signal indicates an election for returning at least one previously purchased digital content item. The server deletes user rights for the at least one digital content item identified by the received signal and sends information to the user device that generated the signal. Access to the associated digital content item at the user device is removed according to the sent information.

  • Patent number: 12011275
Abstract: The present disclosure facilitates capture of biosignal such as biopotential signals in microvolts, or sub-microvolts, resolutions that are at, or significantly below, the noise-floor of conventional electrocardiographic and biosignal acquisition instruments. In some embodiments, the exemplified system disclosed herein facilitates the acquisition and recording of wide-band phase gradient signals (e.g., wide-band cardiac phase gradient signals, wide-band cerebral phase gradient signals) that are simultaneously sampled, in some embodiments, having a temporal skew less than about 1 ?s, and in other embodiments, having a temporal skew not more than about 10 femtoseconds. Notably, the exemplified system minimizes non-linear distortions (e.g., those that can be introduced via certain filters) in the acquired wide-band phase gradient signal so as to not affect the information therein.

  • Patent number: 12013209
Abstract: The bear spray holster with sound alarm is intended to prevent bear attacks on humans. The holster includes a cylindrical body for securing an aerosol canister and a portable alarm. In addition, the holster includes a pull strap that is configured to connect the canister to the detachable pull ring on the portable alarm. By securing both ends of the pull strap, the portable alarm activates when the canister is removed from the cylindrical body. During a bear encounter, the user can easily remove the canister from the holster and activate the portable alarm, all in one motion. Although bears typically hold their breath during a short-range charge or assault, the sound of the alarm disrupts the bear's breathing pattern. This disruption gives the user the best opportunity to spray in the direction of the bear, causing the bear to inhale more of the chemical repellant and retreat.

  • Patent number: 12011151
Abstract: Among other things, there is disclosed structure and methods for maintaining access to a location in the body while reducing or eliminating the potential for pulling an access device (e.g. a catheter) back through an opening. An introducer sheath includes a distal indented portion and a balloon, so that once placed in a desired location through tissue, the balloon can be inflated to anchor the sheath against retraction. In particular embodiments, structure and methods for accessing the pericardial cavity via the right atrial appendage are shown.

  • Patent number: 12013047
Abstract: A valve comprises: a housing defining a chamber; a fluid outlet defined by a fluid outlet wall; and a first fluid outlet orifice and a second fluid outlet orifice comprising a rigid seat. The valve comprises a movable gate, that is flexible and/or compressible and impermeable. The moveable gate is more flexible than the rigid seat, has a planar surface, and is configured to slidably move in a first axis. The movable gate is configured to be positioned so that it is located between a fluid inlet orifice and the second fluid outlet orifice when the valve is in a closed position, wherein fluid pressure within the chamber causes the movable gate to seal the second fluid outlet orifice via the rigid seat, and not the fluid inlet orifice. The valve may employ gate shapes that generate and/or exploit Bernoulli effect forces when fluid passes though the valve.
