  • Publication number: 20230398483
Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems automatically monitor and mitigate contamination caused by particulate in air that enters a server enclosure during operation. A particulate sensor detects an amount of particulate in the air and, when the amount exceeds a predetermined particulate limit value, a filter is automatically moved into an airflow path between an environment outside of the server enclosure and an environment inside the server enclosure. In this position, air entering the server enclosure is caused to pass through the filter when the predetermined particulate limit value is exceeded. In addition to active filtering, detected contamination across several units of scale is mapped to generate an air quality trend. The air quality trend provides information to technical personnel about contamination events and can aid in addressing the source of contamination before damage occurs to a server.

  • Patent number: 11810757
Abstract: Atomic layer etching of a substrate using a wafer scale wave of precisely controlled electrons is presented. A volume of gaseous plasma including diluent and reactive species and electrons of a uniform steady state composition is generated in a positive column of a DC plasma proximate the substrate. A corrosion layer is formed on the substrate by adsorption of the reactive species to atoms at the surface of the substrate. The substrate is positively biased to draw electrons from the volume to the surface of the substrate and impart an energy to the electrons so to stimulate electron transitions in the corrosion layer species, resulting in ejection of the corrosion layer species via electron stimulation desorption (ESD). The substrate is negatively biased to repel the electrons from the surface of the substrate back to the volume, followed by a zero bias to restore the steady state composition of the volume.

  • Publication number: 20230349266
Abstract: The disclosure provides a modular, scalable, and transportable system for capture and sequestration of wellsite greenhouse gas emissions, such as carbon dioxide, by integrating exhaust gas collection equipment, greenhouse gas capture equipment, greenhouse gas compression equipment, and a method enabling sequestration of the gas into well construction equipment and processes. The captured gas can be compressed or otherwise formed into a denser gas fluid, and injected into a geological formation, such as a shale formation. Enhancements to fracking processes can be provided by intercalating or otherwise mixing the gas fluid with fracking fluid. The gas fluid can be geologically sequestered by its interaction with and adsorption into the formation. The sequestered gas fluid can enhance hydrocarbon recovery by reduction of oil interfacial tension in the formation and desorption of methane from the formation. The gas fluid can also be absorbed into the formation or sequestered in other wells or storage facilities.

  • Publication number: 20230349267
Abstract: The disclosure provides a system to capture on-site greenhouse gas, such as carbon dioxide, from exhausts of greenhouse gas emission sources. The carbon dioxide is mixed with water to form a carbonated fracking fluid portion to combine with a proppant fracking fluid to form the fracking fluid for injection into a subsurface. The carbon dioxide in the carbonated fracking fluid portion is then sequestered into the formation through chemical attraction. The system can be an in-situ closed loop system in that the capture of the wellsite’s carbon dioxide emissions and injection into the formation occur at the same wellsite or nearby wellsites in the same field to avoid long-term surface storage and transportations. The system can be modular, scalable, and transportable. The system can be installed as decentralized individual units coupled with each greenhouse gas generating equipment at the wellsite..
