  • Publication number: 20190129694
Abstract: Repeatable distributed pseudorandom number generation is disclosed. For example, a system has a plurality of pseudorandom number generators (“PRNGs”) including a first and second PRNGs and a randomization engine including a seed engine configured to control the plurality of PRNGs by executing to generate a plurality of seed values equal in quantity to the plurality of PRNGs, including first and second seed values. The first seed value is assigned to the first PRNG and the second seed value to the second PRNG. A first pseudorandom number (“PRN”) set is received from the first PRNG and a second PRN set from the second PRNG. A plurality of PRN sets from the plurality of PRNGs is combined into a combined number set.

  • Patent number: 10016278
Abstract: Tissue implants prepared for the repair of tissues, especially avascular tissues such as cartilage. One embodiment presents an electric potential capable of receiving and accumulating desirable factors or molecules from surrounding fluid when exposed to dynamic loading. In another embodiment the implant promotes tissue conduction by retarding, restricting and controlling cellular invasion through use of gradients until competent tissue forms. Further embodiments of the tissue implants may be formed into a multi-phasic device that provides deep tissue mechanical stimulus by conduction of mechanical and fluid forces experienced at the surface of the implant.

  • Publication number: 20150201588
Abstract: Disclosed is an autologous non-human mammalian model system derived from induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells. Also disclosed are methods of differentiating non-human primate iPS cells, which can result in populations of cells enriched for SOX2+ or PDX1+ foregut-like cells, for CDX2+ hindgut-like cells, for CD34+ hematopoietic progenitor-like cells, or epithelial-like cells. Also disclosed is a non-human primate containing an autologous cell type of interest, which is differentiated in vitro from an induced pluripotent stem cell reprogrammed from a primary somatic cell. • Patent number: 9081848
Abstract: An apparatus categorizes knowledge elements that an investigator derives from source materials into issue categories. The issue categories may be predefined based on the type or nature of the investigative matter or user-defined as circumstances dictate. The apparatus also allows for preparation of a narrative based on the knowledge elements and source materials. A hopper allows a user to view and access the categorized knowledge elements during preparation of the narrative. Accordingly, through this collaboration process, investigators may produce a narrative more accurately and efficiently. Further, the apparatus links the text in the narrative back to the knowledge elements and the source materials which may be easily accessed via the links to enable them to be reviewed to determine whether the relevant text in the narrative is firmly based thereon. Thus, review of the work product created with the apparatus may be simplified.
