  • Publication number: 20040264206
Abstract: A cover for a LED sign is manufactured from a stainless steel sheet that is dimensionally larger than the array of light emitting diodes comprising the LED sign. The stainless steel sheet is laser cut and then bent to simultaneously form a plurality of apertures and a corresponding plurality of louvers each extending adjacent one of the apertures. The apertures facilitate viewing of the LED sign and the louvers shield the light emitting diodes comprising the LED sign from excessive light.

  • Publication number: 20040248455
Abstract: A retainer clip for ribbon cable connectors comprises spaced, parallel feet which are received in transversely extending apertures extending through the female component of a ribbon cable connector. Legs extend upwardly and inwardly from the feet, and male component engaging arms extend from the upper ends of the legs for resiliently securing the male component in engagement with the female component of the connector. Camming members extend from the ends of the male component engaging arms and a handle extends from the ends of the camming members for connecting the two sides of the retainer clip.

  • Patent number: 6739756
Abstract: A thrust bearing tilting pad has face with a border region including an engagement surface and defining a pocket with generally longitudinal sidebars and a bottom. The pad has leading and trailing portions, with the face extending generally longitudinally therebetween. The leading and trailing portions can be positioned upstream and downstream, respectively, relative to a direction of movement of a runner. The pad is pivotally supported by (e.g., mechanical and/or hydrostatic) pivot and can cooperate with one or more other pads and fluid within a housing to hydrodynamically and mechanically support the runner in an axial position. In another embodiment, the pad tilts free of mechanical engagement with other pads. The leading portion can define an entrance to the pocket and the sidebars can converge along the direction of motion of the runner.

  • Publication number: 20040077499
Abstract: A process for preparing a dry pesticidal composition including a glyphosate component comprising a water-soluble salt of glyphosate acid, a dicarboxylate component and optionally an adjuvant component. According to the process of the present invention, a glyphosate component is combined with a dicarboxylate component and optionally an adjuvant component to form an enhanced pesticidal composition. The glyphosate component and/or the dicarboxylate component may be combined in their salt form or either or both may be combined in acid form and reacted in the mixture with a base component to form the corresponding salt.

  • Publication number: 20040024759
Abstract: State information is communicated in a network to more efficiently utilize network resources. A first node forms a single extended query requesting state information from at least one logical image of a second node. The extended query is a single query requesting state information for multiple logical images of the first node. The requested state information includes the status of logical paths previously established between the multiple logical images of the first node and the at least one logical image of the second node. Upon sending the extended query to the second node, a single extended response can be formed at the second node having the requested state information.
