  • Publication number: 20020113663
Abstract: The present invention is a component carrier (132) consisting of a plate of insulating material having a plurality of apertures (140) for accepting the leads of a thru-hole differential and common mode filter (130). Another embodiment consists of a surface mount component carrier (10) comprising a disk (16) of insulating material having a plurality of apertures (24). The same concept for the above described carrier is also incorporated into several alternate embodiments, either independently, embedded within electronic connectors. The overall configuration and electrical characteristics of the concepts underlying the present inventions are also described as an energy conditioning circuit assembly which encompasses the combination of differential and common mode filters and component carriers optimized for such filters.

  • Publication number: 20020079116
Abstract: A predetermined single electrode shielding set for groupings of complementary electrodes that are operable to shield and that together are selectively formed or amalgamated into a predetermined sequential combination of commonly configured energy pathways operable for shielding various paired complementary electrodes and/or groupings of the complementary electrodes and other predetermined elements that result in an electrode architecture practicable to provide multiple energy conditioning functions upon isolated and/or non-isolated portions of propagating energy portions. Amalgam circuit arrangements can be simultaneously operable to provide not only single common voltage reference functions to one circuit, but provide common voltage reference functions to multiple, separated circuit systems simultaneously, while performing multiple, dynamic energy conditioning operations.

  • Publication number: 20020044401
Abstract: The present invention relates to a multi-functional energy conditioner having architecture employed in conjunction with various dielectric and combinations of dielectric materials to provide one or more differential and common mode filters for the suppression of electromagnetic emissions and surge protection. The architecture allows single or multiple components to be assembled within a single package such as an integrated circuit or connector.

  • Patent number: 4919562
Abstract: A male-female spline coupling between two shafts includes a polymer spline insert removably carried by the female shaft. The spline insert engages with the female shaft in torque transmitting relation and defines a wear resistant spline surface engaging the male shaft to accommodate limited angular and radial misalignment while rotationally transmitting torque therebetween. The coupling includes provision for removal of the spline insert and replacement thereof with a fresh insert with a minimum of tools and in very short time. Tools for both removal and replacement of the spline insert are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4893975
Abstract: A locking device for threaded fasteners includes a unitary flexibly shape-retaining body having portions nonrotatably engaging the heads of each of a pair of bolts, and a medial interconnecting bar portion which mutually prevents rotation of the portions and of the engaged bolts, while also deformably allowing for variable spacing between the pair of bolts to be accommodated. A resilient retainer pin removably secures the locking device to each bolt head. The locking device may be reused many times without detriment to its locking function.
