Abstract: A recline lockout device is disclosed. The device includes one or more modular lockout assemblies including a housing, one or more levers, and one or more shafts. The device may include one or more lockout cables coupled to actuator assemblies of the aircraft seats and a lever. Each actuator assembly may be configured to position the aircraft seats between an upright and reclined position. The device may include one or more lockout control mechanisms configured to cause the one or more lockout cables to translate. Upon translating, the first lever or the second lever may be configured to translate to cause the first lever to disengage from the second lever. Upon disengaging the first lever from the second lever, the first recline lever may be configured to disengage from the second recline cable to prevent the actuator assemblies from actuating between the upright and reclined position.

  • Publication number: 20240396641
Abstract: A radio frequency (RF) validator instrument is provided for testing functionality of a test article. The instrument includes an RF transmitter, a connection apparatus, an RF receiver, a direct current (DC) bias detector, and an RF verifier. The transmitter produces an emission signal supplied to an in-port and an out-port. The apparatus connects the in-port and the out-port to separate terminals of the article. The receiver receives said emission signal and producing a detection signal. The DC bias detector receives the emission signal through the out-port to a first voltage divider as a first bias signal, through the in-port to a second voltage divider as a second bias signal, and combining the first and second bias signals as a combination bias signal. The verifier compares the detection and combination bias signals to determine whether the article satisfies functionality.

  • Publication number: 20240359694
Abstract: A pedal touch anomaly notification system for a vehicle is provided. The system includes the vehicle itself, and at least one sensor configured to capture information about the position or orientation of the driver's foot relative to a control pedal of the vehicle. A processor uses the captured information, as well as a database containing baseline information and variance information about expected positions or orientations of the driver's foot relative to the control pedal. Based on the captured information, the processor determines the position or orientation of the foot of the driver relative to the control pedal, and compares the determined position or orientation to the baseline information and variance information. If the position or orientation fall outside the variance information, the processor generates a driver alert.

  • Patent number: 12129765
Abstract: A method and system for aligning a component within a turbine casing, and a related turbine casing, are disclosed. In a top-on position, a location of a reference point and another, vertically spaced reference point on the lower casing are measured. After removing at least the upper casing, the reference points' locations are measured again, and the locations of a reference point on an upper surface of the HJ flange are measured. A prediction offset value is calculated for the component support position in the top-on position based on the locations. The prediction offset value may include a vertical adjustment based, in part, on a translation of a triangular spatial relationship of a number of the reference points and/or a tilt angle, a horizontal adjustment, and a HJ flange surface distortion adjustment. The component support position is adjusted by the prediction offset value to improve alignment.
