  • Publication number: 20200022300
Abstract: In one aspect, a system for controlling an operation of an actuator mounted on a seed planting implement may include an actuator configured to adjust a position of a row unit of the seed planting implement relative to a toolbar of the seed planting implement. The system may also include a flow restrictor fluidly coupled to a fluid chamber of the actuator, with the flow restrictor being configured to reduce a rate at which fluid is permitted to exit the fluid chamber in a manner that provides damping to the row unit. Furthermore, the system may include a valve fluidly coupled to the flow restrictor in a parallel relationship such that the valve is configured to permit the fluid exiting the fluid chamber to flow through the flow restrictor and the fluid entering the fluid chamber to bypass the flow restrictor.

  • Patent number: 10339017
Abstract: Methods and systems for storing data at a storage device of a storage system are provided. The data is first temporarily stored at a first write cache and an input/output request for a persistence storage device used as a second write cache is generated, when an I/O request size including the received data has reached a threshold value. The data from the first cache is transferred to the persistence storage device and a recovery control block with a location of the data stored at the persistence storage device is updated. An entry is added to a linked list that is used to track valid data stored at the persistence storage device and then the data is transferred from the persistence storage device to the storage device of the storage system.

  • Patent number: 10311630
Abstract: An exemplary virtual scene capture system (“system”) maintains data representative of a plurality of virtual entities included within a virtual 3D space of a virtual scene. The plurality of virtual entities includes a virtual object and a plurality of virtual vantage points into the virtual 3D space. Based on the maintained data, the system generates a virtual entity description frame representative of a state of at least one of the virtual entities at a particular point in a temporal sequence. The system then provides the virtual entity description frame to a plurality of server-side 3D rendering engines corresponding to different vantage points in the plurality of virtual vantage points and configured to render, based on the virtual entity description frame, surface data frames representative of color and depth data of surfaces of the virtual object visible from the different virtual vantage points at the particular point in the temporal sequence.

  • Publication number: 20190130353
Abstract: A network based system and method for managing inventory is disclosed. A smartphone device is connected to a portable barcode scanner using a communication connection. A scanner adapter application on the smartphone device receives output date comprising order data, and parses the order data, passing it to an upload application. The smartphone device further comprises an order management application to take order data from the scanner adapter application and smartphone user data entry to access a backend server system to retrieve and collect detailed order data in support of order submission. The detailed order data contains data elements necessary for completion and submission of orders. An API configured to receive the at least part of the order data from the upload application processes the order information into an electronic order, and sends the electronic order to a vendor server.

  • Publication number: 20190066200
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are provided for bid optimization. A bid test component is configured to receive a notification from a content recommendation auction engine that a user has requested that the bid test component test various bidding parameters for a content scheme used to bid on opportunities to show content to users. Accordingly, a set of test content schemes are created. Varying bid levels, budget allocations, and/or other bidding parameters are set for the test content schemes. The test content schemes are submitted to the content recommendation auction engine for bidding on opportunities to show content. Test content scheme statistics, regarding the performance of the test content schemes, are collected. Recommendations are providing and automated content scheme management is facilitated based upon the test content scheme statistics.

  • Publication number: 20190064158
Abstract: A combination of capillary forces and gas pressure is used to control the movement of liquid samples within a microfluidic device. A liquid sample introduced to a proximal portion of a capillary channel of a microfluidic device moves by capillary action partway along the capillary channel. As the liquid sample moves, a pressure of a gas acting upon a distal gas-liquid interface of the liquid sample increases by an amount sufficient to stop further movement of the liquid sample. To initiate further movement of the liquid sample, a pump connected to a distal portion of the capillary channel decreases the pressure of the gas acting upon the distal gas-liquid interface of the liquid sample by an amount sufficient to permit the liquid sample to move by capillary action further along the capillary channel of the microfluidic device.

  • Patent number: 10215244
Abstract: An elliptically interfacing gear assisted braking system may include an input shaft with a coupled input gear, a wobble plate, a rotor with a reaction gear, and an actuated brake mechanism, or brake. The input shaft may define an axis of rotation and the wobble plate may have a wobble axis disposed at a non-zero angle relative to the rotation axis. A set of face teeth disposed on one surface of the wobble plate may partially mesh with the input gear, and a set of wobble teeth on an opposite surface of the wobble plate may partially mesh with the reaction gear. Rotation of the input shaft may thereby cause rotation of the wobble plate and rotor. The brake may mate with the rotor and when actuated, slow the rotor with respect to the input shaft. Rolling contact forces between the surfaces of the wobble teeth and reaction teeth may then induce nutation in the wobble plate, thereby dissipating rotational energy.
