  • Patent number: 9992279
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for managed object replication and delivery redirects, directly or indirectly, a client's request for an object that is not available at a best or optimal handling edge server of a network to a parent server that has the requested object. So, where the requested object is not available at the handling edge server, the client's request is redirected directly to the parent server that can provide the requested object to the client or indirectly via one or more parent servers to a parent server that can provide the requested object to the client. The method, system and computer program product further intelligently replicates the object to the edge server if the object is popular enough. Likewise, an object is removed from an edge server when it is no longer popular. All redirection and replication operations are preferably transparent to the end-user and do not degrade the quality of service.

  • Publication number: 20180062745
Abstract: Unified optical fiber-based distributed antenna systems (DASs) for supporting small cell communications deployment from multiple small cell service providers are disclosed. The unified optical fiber-based DASs disclosed herein are configured to receive multiple small cell communications from different small cell service providers to be deployed over optical fiber to small cells in the DAS. In this manner, the same DAS architecture can be employed to distribute different small cell communications from different small cell service providers to small cells. Use of optical fiber for delivering small cell communications can reduce the risk of having to deploy new cabling if bandwidth needs for future small cell communication services exceeds conductive wiring capabilities. Optical fiber cabling can also allow for higher distance cable runs to the small cells due to the lower loss of optical fiber, which can provide for enhanced centralization services.

  • Patent number: 9858587
Abstract: Systems and methods for creating a data-driven attribution model are described. A processor identifies visits to a website. The processor identifies a path for each visitor identifier associated with the visits. The processor determines, for each path type associated with the identified paths, a path-type conversion probability based on a number of visits corresponding to the path type that resulted in a conversion. The processor calculates, for each of a plurality of the path types, a counterfactual gain for each event based on a conversion probability of the given path type and a conversion probability of a path type that does not include the event for which the counterfactual gain is calculated. The processor determines, for each event, an attribution credit based on the calculated counterfactual gain of the event. The processor then stores the attribution credits of each of the events.
