  • Publication number: 20190249410
Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein relate to moment-resisting frames, kits for assembling such moment-resisting frames, and methods of repairing such moment-resisting frames. In an embodiment, a moment-resisting frame includes a beam connected to a column using a moment-resisting connection. The moment-resisting connection may include at least one exterior doubler plate (“EDP”) that is connected to the column and two or more connectors that are connected to both the beam and the EDP. In some embodiments, the moment-resisting frame may require less welding than conventional beam-to-column connections. Additionally or alternatively, such a moment-resisting frame may eliminate the need for components typically used in conventional beam-to-column connections (e.g., continuity plates).

  • Patent number: 10371105
Abstract: A fuel treatment module treats fuel with infrared radiation from a plurality of infrared radiation emitting elements arranged in a structure configured to ensure sufficient exposure of the fuel to infrared radiation. Such structure includes a head cap and spacer having through bores providing a manifold through which fuel flows into multiple IR/shunt columns of infrared radiation emitting elements that are disposed within a canister. Then the fuel moves out of the multiple IR/shunt columns into the open area of the canister where the fuel then flows around the exterior of the columns, exposing the fuel to further infrared radiation treatment.

  • Publication number: 20190175849
Abstract: An inhaler for delivery of a medicament by inhalation is disclosed. The inhaler comprises a dispensing mechanism, the dispensing mechanism being configured to dispense a dose of medicament on actuation. The inhaler further comprises a dose counting mechanism comprising a counter and a translating member. The translating member comprises a pawl. The counter comprises a first count wheel, a second count wheel and an intermediate wheel engaged with the second count wheel and in selective engagement with the first count wheel. When the inhaler is fired to dispense a dose of medicament, the dispensing mechanism moves the translating member in a substantially linear direction. The pawl thus rotates the first count wheel, and as the first count wheel rotates, the intermediate wheel is selectively engaged thereby selectively rotating the second count wheel to count the doses of the inhaler.

  • Patent number: 10311407
Abstract: A method includes receiving an indication that a communication is to be sent from the first party to a second party, and, for the communication from the first party to the second party, generating a code that encodes an indication of a communication routing between the first party and the second party. The computer-implemented method further includes embedding the code into the communication such that the code is sent with the communication from the first party to the second party, receiving a response to the communication, wherein the response to the communication includes the embedded code, and decoding the embedded code to determine the communication routing between the first party and the second party. Still further, the computer-implemented method includes causing the response to the communication to be routed to the first party based on the determined communication routing.

  • Publication number: 20190088945
Abstract: A disordered rocksalt lithium metal oxide and oxyfluoride as in manganese-vanadium oxides and oxyfluorides well suited for use in high capacity lithium-ion battery electrodes such as those found in lithium-ion rechargeable batteries. A lithium metal oxide or oxyfluoride example is one having a general formula: LixM?aM?bO2-yFy, with the lithium metal oxide or oxyfluoride having a cation-disordered rocksalt structure of one of (a) or (b), with (a) 1.09?x?1.35, 0.1?a?0.7, 0.1?b?0.7, and 0?y<0.7; M? is a low valent transition metal and M? is a high-valent transition metal; and (b) 1.1?x?1.33, 0.1?a?0.41, 0.39?b?0.67, and 0?y?0.3; M? is Mn; and M? is V or Mo. The oxides or oxyfluorides balance accessible Li capacity and transition metal capacity. An immediate application example is for high energy density Li-cathode battery materials, where the cathode energy is a key limiting factor to overall performance. The second structure (b) is optimized for maximal accessible Li capacity.

  • Publication number: 20190034946
Abstract: A hosting server streams a media item to a participant device, and receives from the participant device time-stamp information indicating an interaction time associated with a participant interaction with the media item. In response to receiving the time-stamp information, the hosting server determines, from the time-stamp information, a consumed portion of the media item. The consumed portion of the media item corresponds to a portion of the media item streamed to the participant device prior to the interaction time. A determination is made, based on the consumed portion of the media item, whether to transmit survey content to the participant device. In response to determining that survey content is to be presented, the survey content is transmitted to the participant device.
