Abstract: A cutter tool that includes a shank by which the tool is releasably retainable within a tool holder, an enlarged shoulder or heel provided at one end of the shank and adapted, in use, to abut a seating surface of a tool holder and limit the penetration of the tool holder into a receiving aperture of the tool holder, and an integral blade provided beyond the enlarged shoulder or heel and terminating in a carbide or other tip. The tool is provided with a zone of weakness such that if subjected to fracture forces, a fracture will be encouraged to propagate from the zone of weakness in a particular desired manner.

Abstract: An improved pick and pick holder assembly for use in mineral winning and the like. The improved pick and pick holder increases the effective life of a tool and pick holder by minimizing the shifting of the pick within the pick holder. The movement of the pick is minimized by front and rear bearing surfaces that remain positively engaged with front and rear bearing surfaces of the pick holder for loads applied to the pick that are predominantly inward and predominantly rearward.

Abstract: A system for dispensing texture material in a desired spray pattern that substantially matches an existing texture pattern on a target surface has a container assembly, an actuator assembly, and a concentrate. The concentrate comprises a solvent/carrier comprising water, wall texture material, a first anti-corrosion material, where the first anti-corrosion material is a phosphate ester and comprises approximately 0.1-5.0% by weight of the concentrate, and a second anti-corrosion material, where the second anti-corrosion material is sodium nitrite and comprises approximately 0.25-2.00% by weight of the concentrate. The concentrate is disposed within the container assembly such that the water is exposed to the inner surface of the container assembly. At least one of the first and second anti-corrosion materials forms a film that inhibits corrosion on tin-plated steel forming at least part of the inner surface of the container assembly.

Abstract: A method of covering an anomaly in a wall substantially to match a pre-existing texture pattern surrounding the anomaly comprises the following steps. A valve is supported on a container assembly to define a main chamber. Contained material comprising wall material concentrate and propellant material is disposed within a main chamber defined by a valve and a container assembly. An actuator relative is arranged relative to the container assembly such that displacement of a button changes the valve from a closed configuration to an open configuration. A first portion of the contained material is applied to the anomaly. A second portion of the contained material is applied to the base coat. The second portion of the contained material forms a desired texture pattern on the base coat that substantially matches the pre-existing texture pattern.

Abstract: A horizon-picking solution for a geological volume of interest is determined. To determine the horizon-picking solution, a plurality of horizons through the geological volume of interest included in an initial horizon-picking solution are perturbed to more closely follow the local character of measured data related to the geological volume of interest. In particular, the horizons may be perturbed simultaneously by blending the initial solution with a secondary horizon-picking solution that automatically identifies a plurality of horizons through the geological volume of interest that follow the measured data related to the geological volume of interest.

Abstract: A method for analysing microbial growth on a solid culture medium, the method including obtaining image data of the solid culture medium and any microbial growth, generating an associated feature vector of values obtained by applying one or more filters to the image data, using a classifier to classify each pixel in a plurality of pixels in the image data based on the associated feature vector, analysing results of pixel classifications of each said pixel to derive a microbiological assessment of the solid culture medium and any microbial growth, and outputting the microbiological assessment.

Abstract: Methods for automating the processing of generation data groups as groups prior to data recovery are described. The generation data groups to be recovered may correspond with a data storage volume that has been taken offline or has suffered a hardware failure. Prior to data recovery, a table of data sets associated with the data to be recovered may be created and then sorted based on the base names, creation dates and generation numbers of the data sets. The sorted table may be used to identify a particular sequence of generation data sets associated with a particular generation data group to be recovered. The generation data sets corresponding with the particular generation data group to be restored may be selected based on a catalog status of the particular generation data group and whether the particular generation data group is in a rolled-off or wrapped state.

Abstract: A musical instrument or multimedia input device is disclosed. User input is by hitting or striking water in order to produce an at least partially transient acoustic disturbance, vibrations, or change in the water. In one embodiment rigid pipes of various lengths or diameters emit fluid for being struck by a user at an open end of each pipe. The other end of each pipe is connected to an elastic tubing or other elastic medium, such as a diaphragm or bulb, resulting in a hydraulic resonator. In another embodiment the resonators are formed from variously sized bottles or flasks encased in cement, except for the mouths of the bottles. Each hydraulic resonator may be fitted with a sensor that senses the vibrations in the water and amplifies the vibrations into a sound reproduction system, such as an entirely acoustic impedance matcher or an electrical amplification system.

A guide opening extends through the cross member. An elongate reamer has a longitudinal axis, a first end and a second, opposing end. The reamer extends through the guide opening and the base opening, with the second end of the reamer being proximal to the base opening. A set of reaming flutes are formed in the reamer proximate its second end. The reamer is slidable and rotatable in the guide opening and the base opening, and the orientation of the longitudinal axis of the reamer with respect to the base and the stand is fixed by the guide opening.

The series of 2D images depict varying views of the object and have associated camera parameter information. The method includes the steps of tracing the object in a first 2D image selected from the series of 2D images to provide a first set of tracing information, then tracing the object in a second 2D image selected from the series of 2D images to provide a second set of tracing information. The 3D model of the object is then generated based on the camera parameter information and the first and second sets of tracing information.

Abstract: A method for generating a three dimensional (3D) model of an object is depicted in a two dimensional (2D) image is disclosed, The 2D image includes associated 3D information. The method includes an operator determining a geometric primitive corresponding to shape characteristics of the object and then the generation of the 3D model based on the determined geometric primitive, the 2D image, and the associated 3D information.

Abstract: A method of complying with rules to reduce fraudulent reimbursement associated with durable medical equipment prescriptions includes obtaining, using a processing device, information associated with at least one of a patient, the durable medical equipment, a physician, and an ancillary provider; and providing, using the processing device, selective access to the information. The access is selectively provided to at least one of the physician, ancillary provider, a payor, and an auditor, whereby the selective access enables compliance with the rules to reduce fraudulent reimbursement associated with the durable medical equipment prescriptions. A corresponding computer-readable medium and system are also disclosed.
