  • Publication number: 20130030710
Abstract: A horizon-picking solution for a geological volume of interest is determined. To determine the horizon-picking solution, a plurality of horizons through the geological volume of interest included in an initial horizon-picking solution are perturbed to more closely follow the local character of measured data related to the geological volume of interest. In particular, the horizons may be perturbed simultaneously by blending the initial solution with a secondary horizon-picking solution that automatically identifies a plurality of horizons through the geological volume of interest that follow the measured data related to the geological volume of interest.

  • Patent number: 8344056
Abstract: A method of covering an anomaly in a wall substantially to match a pre-existing texture pattern surrounding the anomaly. The method comprises the following steps. A valve is supported on a container assembly to define a main chamber. Contained material comprising wall material concentrate and propellant material is disposed within the main chamber. An actuator relative is arranged relative to the container assembly such that displacement of a button relative to the valve changes the valve from a closed configuration to an open configuration in which a portion of the propellant material is allowed to force the contained material out of the main chamber through the outlet. A first portion of the contained material is applied to the anomaly by directing the outlet at the anomaly and displacing the button. Optionally, a second portion of the contained material may be applied to the base coat by directing the outlet at the base coat and displacing the button.

  • Patent number: 8207707
Abstract: A battery charger with a fixed frequency charging signal at or near the resonant frequency of the battery to be charged is presented. The present invention utilizes a microprocessor to modulate a current source at or near the resonant frequency of the battery to be charged without the use of a PLL. To simplify conventional modulated battery chargers, the PLL or other methods of phase correction are removed, reducing most of the calculation requirements for adjusting the phase angle, thereby reducing the piece count and ultimately cost and complexity. The result is a solution wherein charging occurs at or near the resonant frequency of the battery, and although suboptimal, the results are superior to traditional charging methods.

  • Publication number: 20120099945
Abstract: The Lower Half Portion of the shaft (32) of the Common Nail is cast, stamped, sliced, sawed, laser cut, etc., centrically-lengthwise into duplicate legs (34). Their chiseled tips (38) are at a distal terminus—as depth adjusted. They are angularly-forced outward and away from each other to ultimately embed the legs (34) finally in-place. An external driving force delivers the energy to embed the chisel tips (38) appropriately. Components of instant include, sequentially, a passive driving head (30), a nail shaft (32), a pair of legs (34), and a pair of chisel tips (38). Appendage-spreading, structural resistance to extraction is the essence of this instant.

  • Publication number: 20110030292
Abstract: A simulated stone or brick column is fabricated by a method that involves providing a hollow closed mold that has an inner face in the form of a reverse image of the desired stone or brick surface. A liquid casting material is introduced into the mold and in the mold is rotated about two perpendicular axes so that the casting material coats the inner face of the mold and results in the formation of a hollow column having the external appearance of the desired stone or brick surface. The casting material forms a molded column that has a texture and contour that simulate a stone or brick surface. A mailbox and newspaper tube can be installed in the column.
