Abstract: According to one embodiment, a system includes a memory, a processor, and an interface. For a first region, the processor calculates a risk associated with a political situation of the first region, a risk associated with a legal situation of the first region, a risk associated with an economic situation of the first region, a risk associated with a social situation of the first region, a risk associated with a technological situation of the first region, and a risk associated with an environmental situation of the first region. For a first entity, the processor calculates a risk associated with an exposure level of the first entity in the first region. Based at least on these calculated risks, the processor calculates a ranking for the first region, the ranking representing an amount of risk to the first entity in the first region. The interface communicates the ranking for display.

  • Publication number: 20130198704
Abstract: Aspects of the invention relate to techniques for estimating power and thermal profiles for an integrated circuit design. With various implementations of the invention, a group of devices is identified in a netlist based on information of the group of devices. The netlist may be a schematic netlist or a layout netlist extracted from a layout design. Power consumption information for the group of devices is determined based on device parameters for the group of devices and a lookup table. The determined power consumption information is then associated with layout location information. A thermal profile may then be estimated based on the power consumption information.

  • Publication number: 20130195120
Abstract: A system and method for enabling energy efficient Ethernet networks with time-sensitive protocols. Time-stamped packets generated by a time-sensitive protocol rely on fixed latency in a transit time through a transmission subsystem. An energy efficiency control policy in a network device governs a transmission of time-stamped packets in accordance with energy efficiency initiatives controlled by the energy efficiency control policy. In one embodiment, time-stamped packets can be dropped or modified to account for transitions by the transmission subsystem into an energy saving state. In another embodiment, transitions by the transmission subsystem into or out of an energy saving state can be impacted by the existence of time-stamped packets scheduled for transmission.
