  • Patent number: 8939724
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for harvesting wind energy from air exhausted by other systems. Ventilation and heat exchange systems force air movement using fans. Exhaust airflow may also be the result of a combustion system. The exhaust air is generally wasted as it is diffused back to the atmosphere. Significant energy may be recovered from this exhaust air using relatively small turbines inserted into the airflow. Careful positioning of the turbine maximizes the recovery efficiency.

  • Patent number: 8495057
Abstract: Image management applications allow users to upload, modify, organize, search, and/or share images. Unfortunately, current image management applications may have separate search modes and tagging modes. Accordingly, one or more systems and/or techniques for providing a user with a seamlessly integrated search, view, and/or tag experience are disclosed herein. Search results comprising tagged images and untagged images may be provided in response to a user search query. The untagged images may be contextually relevant to features of the tagged images and/or the user search query. Tagging suggestions for untagged images may be presented that allow a user to confirm or deny a tagging suggestion for an untagged image. Additionally, confirmable thumbnails corresponding to the untagged images may be presented. A confirmable thumbnail may allow a user to confirm or deny tagging a corresponding untagged image.

  • Publication number: 20120208232
Abstract: Compositions and methods are provided for the cell-free synthesis of active reprogramming factor polypeptides. The reprogramming factors may be synthesized as fusion proteins comprising a permeant domain, such as polyarginme. The cell free-synthesis may be conducted at about 25 C in a bacterial cell extract from genetically alterd cells having decreased endogenous protease activity Further, the proteins may comprise a fusion partner which enhances solubility and may be refolded on a column.

  • Publication number: 20120002305
Abstract: A diagonal mirror having a display includes a minor holder and a display detector. The mirror holder has a main body, an ocular part connected to the main body in tilt way, and a telescope tube connector connected to the main body in a way that is tilt relative to the main body and diagonal to the lens holder. One side of the main body has a hole. The display detector inlayed in the hole on the side of the mirror holder is used to detect and show the surrounding area conditions. Users could directly get information of outdoor surrounding area from the display detector. With the information of outdoor surrounding area, users could precisely adjust the focusing system of the telescope and have a clear magnified visual image of the astronomy landscape.
