  • Patent number: 10775052
Abstract: A heating system and method of using such system in a building for zoned radiant heating. The system includes thermostatic radiator valves, each fluidly connected between at least one radiator in a zone of the building and a boiler. A controller is operatively connected to the valves to deactivate the valve positioners when the controller determines that valve activity is likely to have little to no effect on the output of the respective radiator and/or active heating of the building is not desired. For example, the controller determines when the boiler is deactivated and sends a deactivation control signal to the valves operative to prevent the valve positioners from adjusting the respective valve position. In another example, the controller sends the deactivation control signals to the valves at the onset of preprogrammed low usage periods of the heating system.

  • Patent number: 10776023
Abstract: In an embodiment, a storage device is provided. A device controller with a memory is coupled with the storage device. The memory stores an application with instructions that direct the controller to receive a storage device policy. The instructions further direct the controller to store content from a storage request in accordance with the storage device policy, and record storage information, including at least a content identifier, to the memory. Subsequent to storing the content, the instructions further direct the controller to retrieve the content according to the storage information received in a storage request. According to an implementation, the instructions further provide instruction to refuse a delete request in accordance to the storage information. According to an implementation, the instructions provide direction to store the storage information at a remote location.

  • Patent number: 10775837
Abstract: The present technology proposes techniques for generating globally coherent timestamps. This technology may allow distributed systems to causally order transactions without incurring various types of communication delays inherent in explicit synchronization. By globally deploying a number of time masters that are based on various types of time references, the time masters may serve as primary time references. Through an interactive interface, the techniques may track, calculate and record data relative to each time master thus providing the distributed systems with causal timestamps.

  • Patent number: 10776748
Abstract: Communications are received from a transportation service provider and are parsed for data indicating capacity data. The data is then matched to a stored format for capacity data and the parsed data is extracted from the data matched to the stored format to a preferred data format, and reviewed to determine if the stored data reflects capacity indicated by the received communication. The data is then combined with preference data and performance data concerning the transportation service data and used to automatically match a demand for transportation services with the capacity to provide the transportation services.

  • Patent number: 10776723
Abstract: An automated ticket reservation system proactively reserves tickets for a venue on behalf of customers who are identified as “fans” of the venue or an artist of an upcoming event at the venue. Subscribing customers to a proactive ticket reservation service can thereafter receive electronic notifications of tickets that have been proactively reserved for them based at least in part on a demonstrated interest in the venue or the artist of the upcoming event. The proactive ticket reservation system can determine that a subscriber is potentially interested in an event or a venue by analyzing customer data, including content streaming behavior and/or purchasing behavior of the subscriber.
