  • Patent number: 10762102
Abstract: A method of incrementally replicating investigative analysis data is disclosed along with a system for performing the same. The method and system provide the ability to break a data replication job into multiple “replication chunks” which can be exported and imported separately. By doing so, the method and system can efficiently replicate large numbers of data object changes over an unreliable data network.

  • Patent number: 10759544
Abstract: In an example, method of controlling thrust produced by a plurality of engines on an aircraft for assisting with nose-down recovery of the aircraft is described. The method includes selecting a maximum value of an aircraft parameter, measuring a value of the aircraft parameter while the aircraft is in flight, based on a comparison of the maximum value and the measured value determining that the measured value exceeds the maximum value, and reducing a thrust produced by each of the engines of the plurality of engines to bring the measured value of the aircraft parameter below the maximum value of the aircraft parameter.

  • Patent number: 10760413
Abstract: Disclosed are telemetry systems and methods that employ a plurality of electromagnetic transceivers disposed outside a well casing string at a corresponding plurality of depths along the casing string. Each transceiver includes one or more toroidal inductors circumferentially surrounding the casing string and inductively coupled thereto to allow signal transmission between transceivers via currents induced in the casing. In some embodiments, signals are relayed via a chain of transceivers to facilitate indirect communication between a surface facility and other transceivers located too deep for direct communication to the surface.

  • Patent number: 10760354
Abstract: An assembly for a torque-transmitting connection in an inner pipe string of a dual-member drill string is formed from a collar, a retaining ring, and an inner pipe member. An endless internal groove having adjacent shallow and deep sections is formed in the collar. Formed in the inner pipe member, an external grooved region is situated in adjacent relationship with the internal groove. The retaining ring, situated within the grooves, resists disconnection of the collar from the inner pipe member. When the assembly is subjected to an axial force that might otherwise tend to pull it apart, the retaining ring resists the tendency by wedging between the bottom of the shallow section of the internal groove and the crest of the external groove.

  • Patent number: 10764964
Abstract: A heating apparatus for a gas chromatography column is described. The GC column heating apparatus includes a conical heater assembly comprising a heating element between an inner layer and an outer layer. The apparatus can also include optionally an outer cowl and/or an inner cowl surrounding the conical heater assembly. The conical heater assembly rapidly increases the temperature of the column by conductive heating. The selection of shape (in particular, the cone angle of a conical heater) and materials allows the GC column to adapt to expansion that occurs upon heating. A gas chromatography (GC) column heating and cooling apparatus is also described, in which the heater and outer cowl define a flowpath through which a cooling fluid can pass and cool the GC column.

  • Patent number: 10761702
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices can allow applications to provide complication data to be displayed in a complication of a watch face. A client application can create a complication data object according to a template to efficiently select how the complication data is to be displayed. For example, a complication controller on the watch can receive new data and determine which template to use. The complication data object can be sent to a display manager that can identify the selected template and display the data according to the template.

  • Patent number: 10764168
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for determining for determining parameters for a Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) connection between two computing nodes before the connection is established. In embodiments, the latency of data transmission between two computing nodes and the throughput capacity of a network link are measured, and from this data, TCP parameters for a future network connection between two computing nodes are determined. This information is sent to a TCP stack that stores it in its route table. Then, the TCP stack uses TCP parameters based on the information stored in the route table.

  • Patent number: 10762691
Abstract: Examples described herein generally relate to displaying an image on a display device where a motion during a latency between a first time associated with activating a first portion of the display device and a second time associated with activating a second portion of the display device is predicted. At least a second portion of an image, to be displayed at the second time, is distorted based at least in part on a function of the motion and the latency to compensate for the latency. A first portion of the image is displayed at the first time by activating the first portion of the display device. The second portion of the image, as distorted, is displayed at the second time by activating the second portion of the display device.
