  • Patent number: 10768972
Abstract: Generally described, the present application relates to systems and methods for the managing virtual machines instances using a physical computing device and an offload device. The offload device can be a separate computing device that includes computing resources (e.g., processor and memory) separate from the computing resources of the physical computing device. The offload device can be connected to the physical computing device via a bus interface. The bus interface can be a high speed, high throughput, low latency interface such as a Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) interface. The offload device can be used to offload virtualization and processing of virtual components from the physical computing device, thereby increasing the computing resources available to the virtual machine instances.

  • Patent number: 10765515
Abstract: Described herein are devices and methods for mitral valve repair. The devices and methods implant a plurality of distal anchors at an annulus of the mitral valve (e.g., the posterior annulus) and tension artificial chordae to pull the portion of the annulus toward an opposite edge and inward into the ventricle. This can effectively reduce the size of the orifice and increase coaptation. The anchor points of the artificial chordae can be offset from the apex of the heart to achieve a targeted force vector on the annulus. In addition, some embodiments include distal anchors implanted in the posterior leaflet in addition to those at the posterior annulus. This allows differential tensioning to be applied to provide for greater flexibility in treating various configurations of mitral valves to improve coaptation.

  • Patent number: 10771684
Abstract: A computing device includes one or more camera systems, each camera system including software and/or hardware to provide various different camera-related capabilities. The camera system maintains one or more profiles, each profile identifying different capabilities of the camera system that the computing device is configured to use concurrently. The one or more profiles are provided to a program on the computing device, allowing the program to know which capabilities the computing device is configured to use concurrently. If a profile provided by the camera system indicates that the computing device is configured to use certain capabilities concurrently (e.g., capturing images and recording video at certain resolutions), then the program allows a user to select options for using those capabilities concurrently. However, if no such profile exists, the program does not allow a user to select options for using those capabilities concurrently.

  • Patent number: 10771914
Abstract: In some embodiments, virtualization methods for generating a binaural signal in response to channels of a multi-channel audio signal, which apply a binaural room impulse response (BRIR) to each channel including by using at least one feedback delay network (FDN) to apply a common late reverberation to a downmix of the channels. In some embodiments, input signal channels are processed in a first processing path to apply to each channel a direct response and early reflection portion of a single-channel BRIR for the channel, and the downmix of the channels is processed in a second processing path including at least one FDN which applies the common late reverberation. Typically, the common late reverberation emulates collective macro attributes of late reverberation portions of at least some of the single-channel BRIRs. Other aspects are headphone virtualizers configured to perform any embodiment of the method.

  • Patent number: 10768696
Abstract: Representative embodiments disclose mechanisms for calibrating an eye gaze selection system. When the calibration is triggered, a snapshot of an area around the current user's gaze point is taken. The snapshot area is then animated to cause motion of the snapshot area. As the snapshot is animated, the user's gaze will naturally track the thing the user was focusing on. This creates an eye tracking vector with a magnitude and direction. The magnitude and direction of the eye tracking vector can then be used to calculate a correction factor for the current user's gaze point. Calibration can be triggered manually by the user or based on some criteria such as error rates in item selection by the user.

  • Patent number: 10768201
Abstract: A system and method for estimating a plurality of airspeed parameters of an aircraft is disclosed. The system comprises one or more processors and a memory coupled to the processor. The memory storing data comprises a database and program code that, when executed by the one or more processors, causes the system to receive a plurality of operating parameters that each represent an operating condition of the aircraft. The system is further caused to determine a stability-axis drag coefficient based on the plurality of operating parameters. The stability-axis drag coefficient quantifies a stability-axis drag of the aircraft created during high speed conditions. The system is caused to determine a body-axis lift coefficient based on the plurality of operating parameters, which corresponds to a lift of the aircraft created along a vertical body-axis. The system is also caused to determine a dynamic pressure, which is used to estimate the airspeed parameters.

  • Patent number: 10769614
Abstract: A system, apparatus, and method for processing payment transactions that are conducted using a mobile device that includes a contactless element, such as an integrated circuit chip. The invention enables the updating, correction or synchronization of transaction data maintained by an Issuer with that stored on the device. This is accomplished by using a wireless (cellular) network as a data communication channel for data provided by an Issuer to the mobile device, and is particularly advantageous in circumstances in which the contactless element is not presently capable of communication with a device reader or point of sale terminal that uses a near field communications mechanism. Data transferred between the mobile device and Issuer may be encrypted and decrypted to provide additional security and protect the data from being accessed by other users or applications.
