  • Patent number: 9856669
Abstract: A pool cleaner having an intake opening at the bottom of the body and two rollers on either side of the intake opening on which the pool cleaner rests and traverse the pool floor. In an embodiment, the rollers define a cleaning path with maximum water flow through the intake opening into the pool cleaner caused by hydraulic forces as a result of at least one pump being turned on. In an embodiment, pool cleaner is unstable when moving on the rollers. In an embodiment, wheels are placed at corners of the pool cleaner and raised above the floor, allowing a rocking motion and easy turns of pool cleaner.

  • Patent number: 9732955
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a pool light assembly including cooling for the illuminating structure. The assembly includes a water inlet housing having a portion on the dry side and a portion immersed in the pool water. An assembly having sealing structure creates a leak proof connection with the pool wall. The submerged portion of the assembly includes a base. The base has an exterior exposed to the pool water and an enclosed interior including the illuminating structure. A notch is provided in the exterior of the base and extends into the interior for allowing pool water in the proximity of the illuminating structure. The assembly includes sealing structure for preventing water from entering electrically active elements, while allowing pool water to act as a cooling element. A retaining member locks and encourages waterproof sealing of the electrically active elements. Each of the elements is provided with structure as necessary to facilitate the free flow of water through the housing.

  • Patent number: 9631388
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a floating pool water controller for dispensing germicide and antimicrobial material into a swimming pool based upon real time pool conditions. The controller includes the ability to adjust to these ever changing conditions in real time, and, to do so remotely. The controller includes a housing adapted for floating on the pool water. Additionally, a dispenser is provided for dispensing Cu ion into the pool and includes a dispenser assembly connected to the housing. The controller is provided with a controller for adjusting the amount of Cu ion dispensed into the pool water. And, the controller includes a probe extending from the housing into the pool water for sensing pool conditions. Thus, upon sensing the pool conditions in real time, the controller can be adjusted to dispense the proper amount of Cu ion into the pool water.

  • Publication number: 20170096826
Abstract: An automated swimming pool cleaner has a housing having an inlet formed on a bottom surface thereof. A drive mechanism is located within the housing. A first rolling mechanism is coupled to a bottom section of the housing. A second rolling mechanism is coupled to the bottom section of the housing. A third rolling mechanism is coupled to the bottom section of the housing between the first rolling mechanism and the second rolling mechanism. The third rolling mechanism extends lower from the housing than the first rolling mechanism and the second rolling mechanism allowing the automated swimming pool cleaner to pivot about the third rolling mechanism. The drive mechanism rotates at least one of the first rolling mechanism, the second rolling mechanism, or the third rolling mechanism.

  • Patent number: 9366049
Abstract: A pool cleaner having two tilted pumps pointing in opposite directions, which propel the pool cleaner. In an embodiment, the pumps are turned on alternatively to alternate the direction of travel of the pool cleaner. In an embodiment, each pump has a discharge opening facing upwards at an angle, covered by an adjustable flap. The flap can be adjusted to open to different degrees to change the speed of the pool cleaner. The flap is attached to a ring that rotates and thereby rotates the angle of the orientation of the flap. Adjusting the angle of orientation of the flap of the pool cleaner changes the extent to which the pool cleaner moves sideways while moving forwards or the extent to which the pool cleaner turns.
