    Abstract: A pool light assembly includes a water inlet housing having a base with an exterior exposed to the pool water and an enclosed interior including an illuminating structure. A notch is provided in the exterior of the base and extends into the interior for allowing pool water to enter the water inlet housing and be in the proximity of the illuminating structure to act as a cooling element. A sealing structure is included for preventing water from entering electrically active elements, and a retaining member locks and encourages waterproof sealing of the electrically active elements.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is cleaning structure attachable to a submersible pool cleaning vehicle (PCV). In one exemplary embodiment the PCV has an endless loop track and a chassis therefore. The cleaning structure attaches to the chassis and acts as a cap covering the drive wheels and track. The cleaning structure includes a base and bristles extending outwardly therefrom. The bristles define fingers. In one embodiment, the fingers are of a uniform length. In another embodiment, the fingers are of a graduated length. Others embodiments include the fingers being distributed on the base in a random pattern. In one embodiment, the cleaning structure defines a single insert. In another, the cleaning structure includes multiple inserts.

The electrical conductors are embedded into a core member. The core member defines a filler layer. A reinforcing member is similarly embedded into the core. The reinforcing member includes strands of reinforcing fibers. The reinforcing members are grouped to support the electrical conductor and prevent delamination. A skin member surrounds the core member and encapsulates the members and prevents water penetration. A tie down member secures each end of the cable while an end cap is fitted over the tie down member. The end cap is sized and shaped for compatible engagement with the desired movable device and a power source.

Located within the interior is a pump and a filter bag. The housing also includes a bottom, which is generally curved in a concave manner. The housing further includes a chassis. The pump creates a vacuum for sucking up dirt and debris into the filter bag through intakes in the housing. The housing including first and second pairs of wheels connected to the chassis. Between the front and second wheels is a middle roller, also connected to the chassis. In a first embodiment, the middle roller includes a single roller, which is approximately the same diameter as the wheels of the first and second pairs of wheels. In other embodiments, the wheels of the middle roller are larger or smaller. In yet another embodiment, the middle roller includes a series of wheels.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a floating pool water controller for dispensing germicide and antimicrobial material into a swimming pool based upon real time pool conditions. The controller includes the ability to adjust to these ever changing conditions in real time, and, to do so remotely. The controller includes a housing adapted for floating on the pool water. Additionally, a dispenser is provided for dispensing Cu ion into the pool and includes a dispenser assembly connected to the housing. The controller is provided with a controller for adjusting the amount of Cu ion dispensed into the pool water. And, the controller includes a probe extending from the housing into the pool water for sensing pool conditions. Thus, upon sensing the pool conditions in real time, the controller can be adjusted to dispense the proper amount of Cu ion into the pool water.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a device for facilitating the quick exchange of one pool appliance for another. The device includes a housing, which spans the opening in the upstanding wall of an above ground pool. The opening is typically used by existing above ground pools for water intake and outlet, filtering, water leveling and the like. On the interior side of the pool, the waterside, the housing includes a quick release receptacle adapted to fit a variety of pool appliances. The receptacle includes means to conduct electricity usable for such pool appliances. On the exterior side of the pool, the housing includes an adapter designed to accept a pool power head. The power head connects to a residential or similar power source and is converted to a usable power supply for pool appliances. The receptacle allows exchange of appliances to be made even while the connective portion of the appliance is underwater.

The light assembly includes a water inlet housing having a portion on the dry side and a portion immersed in the pool water. A threaded assembly having sealing structure creates a leak proof connection with the pool wall. On the portion of the housing immersed in pool water, the housing includes a flange defining a base. The base has an exterior exposed to the pool water and an enclosed interior including the illuminating structure. A notch is provided in the exterior of the base and extends into the interior for allowing pool water in the proximity of the illumination structure. Sealing structure prevent water from entering the electrically active elements of the illuminating structure while allowing close proximity for cooling pool water to act as a cooling element for the illuminating structure.

Water pumped from the bottom of the unit filters dirt carried thereby, then uses the pumped water to propel the device either forward or backward. A pivoted front axle causes the path of the unit to vary when changing from forward to backward so that the unit randomly covers the entire pool bottom. Spring loaded doors may be provided to allow water to exit when the unit is lifted out of the pool. A sealed motor unit has a metal portion to transfer heat from the motor.

Also disclosed is a portable electrical cord extension and retraction device which can be plugged in to a conventional wall socket so that the cord can be extended to reach an appliance, and can be retracted when not required.
