  • Patent number: 9238401
Abstract: A Z-fold convertible top has a frame supporting a textile cover. The frame includes support in the form of at least one of a pair of pivoted rails rigidly mounted to a bow, stabilizing other pivoted rails. The stability may be employed to displace a quarter window with the rail in a manner that provides a compact top stack packaged in the vehicle body. The stability is also employed to coordinate sealing engagement of the quarter window with a cloth control link pivoted to the vehicle body ground, but displacing the cloth away from the window during retraction. A worm link may enhance interaction between the cloth control link and the rail supporting a quarter window.

  • Patent number: 9185899
Abstract: A system for protecting user's body from the attacks of electro-sensitive animals is provided. The system includes a frequency generator, a modulator, a controller, a level shifter, plurality of electrodes and a power source to provide power to the controller. The controller generates pattern for the modulator and further the controller controls the frequency generator and the level shifter. The frequency generator generates waveforms and frequencies on the instructions programmed by the user in the controller. The modulator then mixes the pattern with waveforms or frequencies. The level shifter shifts results of the modulator to a higher voltage level and further transmits the polarized waveforms and frequencies to the plurality of electrodes.

  • Publication number: 20140222307
Abstract: A method and apparatus for retightening an electromechanical brake of a type having an actuator driven by an electric motor to provide parking brake functionality, which presses a brake element against a brake body during a force stroke. A number of successive force strokes are performed wherein the force strokes occur when the brake clamping force falls below a predefined minimum setpoint value, wherein the respective force stroke occurs such that a predefined maximum clamping force is not exceeded, and based on the initial and the expected end temperatures of the brake body, a total clamping force loss to be expected is determined. The time of a final force stroke is selected such that the sum of the forces provided by the preceding force strokes, the force of the final force stroke, and the clamping force loss still to be expected exceeds the total clamping force loss to be expected.
