  • Patent number: 11809336
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to implement an endpoint command invocation system (“ECIS”). In some embodiments, ECIS can quickly dispatch a command to a large number of endpoint components, where the endpoint components are online. ECIS can receive an invocation of a command, which can include the command recipients. In some embodiments, ECIS determines that some of the command recipients are online, while some of the command recipients are offline. ECIS determines connections to the online command recipients based on a connection map, which is updated whenever an endpoint component opens a connection to ask for a command. ECIS can deliver the command to the online command recipients using the connections. ECIS can also deliver the command to dispatch queues corresponding to the offline command recipients, where the dispatch queues store the command as a pending command that can be delivered to their respective command recipients whenever they come online.

  • Patent number: 11794412
Abstract: An additive manufacturing apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a build surface, at least a portion of which is transparent. The apparatus includes a first material depositor operable to deposit a curable resin to form a deposited resin layer on the build surface. A first sensing device is configured to measure the thickness of the deposited resin layer; and wherein the at least one sensing device is configured to generate a signal indicative of the thickness of the deposited resin layer. The first sensing device can be connected to a computer such that the additive manufacturing apparatus is configured to control the thickness of the deposited resin layer. The thickness of the deposited resin layer can be controlled such that it varies from side to side, i.e. across the width of the deposited resin layer in the transverse direction along the x-axis. The thickness can also be controlled such that it varies with time, i.e., in the machine direction along the y-axis.

  • Publication number: 20230073194
Abstract: Various embodiments provide a method of additively manufacturing a part including depositing a layer of a powder on a working surface, depositing a binder solution on the layer of the powder at first locations, and depositing a sintering aid solution on the layer of the powder at second locations. The sintering aid solution comprises a sintering aid in a solvent. In various embodiments, the sintering aid enables an increased brown strength as compared to parts containing unbound powder. The method enables binders that provide high green strength to be used at the edges of the part, while also balancing a shortened debind time with an increased brown strength. Embodiments in which binder solution is deposited according to a predetermined pattern at second locations are also described.
