Abstract: A new pneumatic load transfer and shock absorbing system is disclosed. The pneumatic system includes a layer of air-bags to perform two basic functions during a floatover installation operation: 1) lifting the platform deck from the support to create additional air gaps at the mating surfaces, and the heave motions of the lifted platform deck may be reduced; 2) performing as a shock absorbing device with variable vertical stiffness easily controlled by the air-bag internal air pressure during the mating operation and the separation operation.

Abstract: The present invention is directed generally to tools that are high quality, strong, and lightweight. For example, various tools such as clamps may be made using parts containing a compound or alloy including magnesium. Magnesium may be for cast or extruded parts. In one embodiment, an “F” style clamp may be made with one or both of the two cooperating jaw members or sections being cast from a magnesium compound or alloy. In one variation, the “F” style clamp may include a shaft made from extruded magnesium. In another embodiment, a “C” style clamp may be made with the “C” shaped frame being cast from a magnesium compound or alloy. In a further embodiment, a bar clamp having trigger indexing may be made with one or both of two jaw members or sections being cast from a magnesium compound or alloy. In a variation, the bar may be an extruded magnesium.

Abstract: The present invention provides a document editor and a method for editing document to facilitate the collaboration between users. The document editor comprises a user interface for editing and displaying document information; a dispatcher for identifying objects in the user interface and their identifiers according to object definition, and providing the object information to the user interface; and at least one connector, for communicating with remote or local service using the identifier and address of at least one of the objects, to exchange the object information with the remote or local service and transfer the information to the dispatcher. According to the document editor and the method for editing document, a user could obtain more information of the object embedded in the document and effectively avoid operation failure on the object.

Abstract: Vertical high power LEDs are the technological choice for the application of general lighting due to their advantages of high efficiency and capability of handling high power. However, the technologies of vertical LED fabrication reported so far involve the wafer-level metal substrate substitution which may cause large stress due to the mismatch between metal substrate and LED layer. Moreover, the metal substrate has to be diced to separate LED dies which may cause metal contamination and thus increase the leakage current. These factors will lower the yield of LED production and increase the cost as well. The present invention is to disclose a novel method for the fabrication of GaN vertical high power LEDs and/or a novel method for the fabrication of GaN vertical high power LEDs which is compatible to mass production conditions. The novelty of the invention is that the island metal plating is conducted with the help of pattern formation techniques.

Generally, a computer program product for software development assistance includes a computer readable storage medium having computer readable program code embodied therewith such that the computer readable program receives from a server over a computer communications network both a software update for software installed in an end user device, and also test cases and a testing tool. The test cases are loaded in memory of the end user device and executed in the end user device with the execution tool with respect to the software update. Execution information produced by the execution of the test cases is collected and transmitted back to the server from the end user device.
