The downlink equivalent channel is obtained by performing channel estimation based on the downlink reference signal.

    Abstract: A method for sending a demodulation reference signal includes: a network device generates a first signal and sends the first signal on a first time-frequency resource, where the first signal is formed by superimposing M DMRS port signals, and delay segmentation locations corresponding to at least two of the M DMRS port signals are different. Because the first signal is formed by superposing the M DMRS port signals, that is, the network device sends a plurality of DMRS port signals on a same time-frequency resource, reference signal overheads can be reduced. The network device can send more DMRS port signals using the same time-frequency resource. In this way, the network device can send more streams without increasing pilot overheads.

According to the method, a terminal device sends the uplink reference signal based on an indication of a network device, and therefore a large quantity of time-frequency resources may not be occupied. Therefore, the terminal device is not required to have high calculation complexity.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for determining channel state information and an apparatus, relating to the field of communication technologies, to improve accuracy of channel state information (CSI) fed back by a terminal. In the method, a terminal may determine, based on a plurality of reference signals on a plurality of reference signal resources and a plurality of power offsets, a precoding matrix that matches a channel for actual transmission, so that a channel quality indicator (CQI) obtained based on the precoding matrix conforms to channel quality of the channel for actual transmission. In other words, in this case, the terminal can obtain an accurate CQI, thereby improving accuracy of CSI fed back by the terminal to a network device, and improving transmission performance.
