Abstract: Various embodiments provide a method and system for handling a message on an instant messaging (IM) open platform. In an exemplary method, a message sent to a network application can be received. The network application can be an application plugged in the IM open platform. The received message can be pushed to an access address of the network application. A reply message returned by the network application based on the message can be received and forwarded. An exemplary system for handling a message on an instant messaging (IM) open platform can include a receiving module, a pushing module, and/or a reply processing module.

Abstract: A method for retrieving and playing a TV program uses a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal captures one or more images of a TV program currently played on a TV using the image sensor and sends the images to a remote server. The remote server extracts a TV station identifier from the received images, compares the received images with images stored in an image library and corresponding to the TV station identifier, and determines an identity of the TV program when there is a match, generates an information record for the TV program, and returns the TV program information record to the mobile terminal, the TV program information record including a hyperlink to the TV program. After receiving the TV program information record from the remote server, the mobile terminal displays the hyperlink on the display of the mobile terminal.

Abstract: A method is performed by a mobile device having one or more processors and memory for updating information in an instant messenger application installed on the mobile device. The method includes: receiving an instant message from a remote server, the instant message including a first user actionable item; displaying the instant message including the first user actionable item in a graphical user interface corresponding to the instant messenger application; detecting a first user input through the first user actionable item; in accordance with the first user input: generating an information update request; sending the information update request to the remote server; receiving a response to the information update request from the remote server; and updating the instant message in the graphical user interface in accordance with the response from the remote server.

Abstract: A search method, a server and a client are provided. A first-order search keyword and a user identifier are received from a social application client to search for information relevant to the first-order search keyword. A search result comprising at least one piece of information and social relationship information corresponding to the user identifier in the social application are obtained. Information in the search result is ranked based on the social relationship information to obtain a search result rank list and the search result rank list is sent to the social application client.

Abstract: The present application provides a webpage login method involving two client devices and a server. The server receives an information access request from a first client device. In response to the information access request, the server returns a unique identifier to the first client device. The unique identifier is to be displayed on the first client device. Next, the server receives a first message from a second client device, the first message including user account information at the server system and authentication information. The server determines whether the authentication information corresponds to the unique identifier and authenticates the information access request in accordance with a determination that the authentication information corresponds to the unique identifier such that the user can access information at the server and associated with the user account information from the first client device.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a parameter obtaining method and apparatus. In this method, multiple signals are received over a communications link on a network, where each of the received signals is corresponding to a point on a complex plane; decision is performed on each of the received signals; for each of the received signals, an error signal between the received signal and a corresponding decision signal is determined; and a complex-plane distribution feature parameter used to indicate a distribution feature, on the complex plane, of the signals received over the communications link is determined according to all the determined error signals. In this method, an inaccurate maintenance result in manual analysis of a constellation diagram is avoided.

Abstract: A method is performed by a mobile device having one or more processors and memory for updating information in an instant messenger application installed on the mobile device. The method includes: receiving an instant message from a remote server, the instant message including a first user actionable item; displaying the instant message including the first user actionable item in a graphical user interface corresponding to the instant messenger application; detecting a first user input through the first user actionable item; in accordance with the first user input: generating an information update request; sending the information update request to the remote server; receiving a response to the information update request from the remote server; and updating the instant message in the graphical user interface in accordance with the response from the remote server.

Abstract: Devices, terminals and methods are provided for contacts management. For example, one or more first contacts included in a communication log are received, wherein the communication log includes a call log or an SMS log; contact frequencies of the first contacts are calculated based on at least information associated with the communication log; one or more second contacts are selected to be managed from the first contacts based on at least information associated with the contact frequencies; if the second contacts exist in an address book is determined; and in response to the second contacts existing in the address book, the second contacts in the address book are extracted as frequent contacts; and a list of frequent contacts are generated based on at least information associated with the frequent contacts.

Abstract: A reminder information delivery method includes steps of: obtaining reminder information, where the reminder information includes reminding contents, reminding time, and a first account associated with a first communication client; when the reminding time comes, searching for a communication number associated with the first account; and pushing the reminder information to a corresponding communication terminal according to the communication number. By adopting the reminder information delivery method, reminding is implemented in a timely and flexible manner. In addition, a reminder information pushing system is also provided.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and apparatus for triggering an instruction, methods and systems for obtaining user information, a terminal, and a server. The instruction triggering method includes: detecting a shaking operation of a mobile terminal; and triggering a preset input instruction according to the detected shaking operation. The user information obtaining method includes: when a mobile terminal detects a shaking operation, the mobile terminal sending a user information obtaining request to a server; and the mobile terminal receiving user information of a matching user returned according to the user information by the server. Another user information obtaining method includes: after a server receives a user information obtaining request triggered by a shaking operation of a mobile terminal, obtaining a user who matches the user information obtaining request and sending user information of the matching user to the mobile terminal.

Abstract: The current invention discloses methods, applications, and devices for audio transmission from a mobile terminal. After receiving an audio signal transmission request from a user, the mobile terminal may initiate a recording session to record audio signals into audio frames. During the recording session, the terminal may adjust the audio codecs used for encoding the audio frames based on the workload and the performance of the terminal. By measuring and evaluating the encoding time, the terminal may change between using a floating-point AMR audio codec and a fixed-point AMR audio codec. The encoded audio frames are transmitted to a remote server. The current invention provides a flexible and efficient approach for audio signal encoding and transmission, balancing signal integrity and encoding speed at the same time.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method and an apparatus for controlling a play mode, and a mobile terminal. The method includes: detecting whether a mobile terminal is in a preset status according to an operation of a user on the mobile terminal; if the mobile terminal is in the preset status, acquiring a distance between the user and the mobile terminal; and if the distance between the user and the mobile terminal is smaller than a preset threshold, controlling the mobile terminal to enter an earphone play mode. Trough the present invention, the play mode of the mobile terminal can be effectively and accurately controlled, thereby avoiding unnecessary operations and improving the intelligence of the mobile terminal.

Abstract: Method and server system for user login verification are disclosed. The method includes: obtaining a verification request from a first device for an account operation requested by a user using a first account; identifying, from the server system, usage history data associated with the first account, including data regarding usage of the first account on the first device; determining, in accordance with the data regarding the usage of the first account on the first device and one or more predetermined usage history criteria, whether the account operation associated with the first account on the first device is safe; and in accordance with a determination that the account operation associated with the first account on the first device is not safe, initiating a verification process based on a second device that qualifies as being safe for the account operation.

The device transmits information corresponding to the audio sample to a server. In response to transmitting the information, the device obtains attribute information corresponding to the audio sample, where the attribute information includes metadata for the media item, a time indicator of a position of the audio sample in the media item, and stream information for the media item. The device displays a portion of the attribute information. The device detects a second trigger event and, in response to detecting the second trigger event: determines a last obtained time indicator; streams the media item based on the stream information; and presents the media item from the last obtained time indicator.
