    Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for protocol data unit (PDU) session management over different access technologies (ATS) are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a first message from a network over a first access technology. The first message may include an indication for the WTRU to reestablish resources for one or more protocol data unit (PDU) sessions over a second access technology. The WTRU may determine that a PDU session of the one or more PDU sessions is locally deactivated by the WTRU. The WTRU may send a second message via the first access technology. The second message may include a PDU session status information element (IE) indicating the PDU session is locally deactivated such that the network releases the PDU session.

The WTRU may receive, from the network node, a first NAS response including authorization information, an authorized PIN type and validity duration of the PIN. The WTRU may transmit, to the second WTRU, based on the PE type and the PE capability being compatible with the authorized PIN type, a connection response indicating the second WTRU is authorized as a PE of the PIN.

    Abstract: A method for monitoring large deformation of a surrounding rock of a tunnel based on an automatic targeting and ranging system includes: acquiring, by a camera module, a target monitoring image; identifying a center image position in the target monitoring image; performing, by a laser ranging module, an automatic targeting and ranging task according to the center image position; and calculating a deformation offset of each target of left wall targets, right wall targets and a vault target based on an automatic targeting and ranging result corresponding to the target. The method solves the problem that a laser ranging device fails to measure a target at a fixed angle and obtains a real and accurate deformation offset thereby greatly improving the reliability of the large deformation monitoring result of the surrounding rock of the tunnel.

In response to determining to perform a path switch, the WTRU may retrieve certain information associated with a peer WTRU. The WTRU may transmit, based on the retrieved information, a path switch request to the peer WTRU. The WTRU may receive a response to the path switch request. If the response indicates that the path switch request has been accepted by the peer WTRU, the WTRU may perform a communication path switch from the first interface to a second interface.

    Abstract: A method and a system are disclosed for providing session continuity in a 5G system. A wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may receive, from a session management function (SMF), a first Non-Access Stratum (NAS) message indicating a Packet Data Unit (PDU) session re-establishment. Upon receiving the first NAS message, the WTRU may determine an old PDU session ID based on the NAS message and generate a new PDU session ID. The WTRU may transmit a second NAS message indicating a PDU session establishment request. The second NAS message may include the old and new PDU session IDs. Upon receiving the PDU session establishment request, the SMF may determine that the old PDU session ID is associated with an existing PDU session for which the PDU session re-establishment is requested. The SMF may also determine that the new PDU session ID is associated with a new PDU session to be established.
