    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a GTP-U downlink packet sending method and apparatus. The method includes: receiving, by a MEC platform, a GTP-U uplink packet sent by a base station device; obtaining, by the MEC platform, a TEID of the base station device according to the GTP-U uplink packet; and sending, by the MEC platform, a GTP-U downlink packet to the base station device, where the GTP-U downlink packet includes the TEID of the base station device. By using the technical solutions of the embodiments of the present disclosure, after receiving the GTP-U uplink packet sent by the base station device, the MEC platform can obtain the TEID of the base station device according to the GTP-U uplink packet, and therefore, can correctly perform GTP-U encapsulation, and send the GTP-U downlink packet to the base station device.

The WTRU may receive a message from the RAN node. For example, the RAN node may send a message indicating a subset of the plurality of PDU sessions that are available upon resuming a connection with the RAN node. The WTRU may deactivate at least one established PDU session of the plurality of PDU sessions based on the received message from the RAN node that indicates at least one established PDU session not being included in the subset of the plurality of PDU sessions that are available.

The embodiments of the present invention can prevent a failure recovery procedure from being executed multiple times, and lighten signaling load.

Thus, the switch updates the MAC address table in a timely manner, and the switch can send, through a correct port based on an updated MAC address table, downlink data to the terminal, to effectively prevent a loss of the downlink data.

Upon receiving the first NAS message, the WTRU may determine an old PDU session ID based on the NAS message and generate a new PDU session ID. The WTRU may transmit a second NAS message indicating a PDU session establishment request. The second NAS message may include the old and new PDU session IDs. Upon receiving the PDU session establishment request, the SMF may determine that the old PDU session ID is associated with an existing PDU session for which the PDU session re-establishment is requested. The SMF may also determine that the new PDU session ID is associated with a new PDU session to be established.
