  • Patent number: 12365343
Abstract: Described herein is NLS using a bounded linear initial search space and a fixed grid with pre-calculated variables. Specifically, first and second signals with unknown first and second elevation angles, respectively, are received that have been reflected by an object, with the second signal also having been reflected off the ground. A line of second angles is then established as a function of first angles, a sensor height, and a range to the object. The first angles being bound by a function of the sensor height and the range and a function of the sensor height, the range, and the maximum height. A search algorithm is then used to search for an initial elevation angle pair along the line. The initial elevation angle pair may then be fed into a refinement algorithm (e.g., non-linear least squares) to determine the elevation angles associated with the first and second signals.

  • Publication number: 20250224489
Abstract: A method includes calculating a discrete Fourier transform (DFT) of radar signals received by radar elements. The method includes identifying a peak amplitude of the DFT and designating a frequency corresponding to the peak amplitude of the DFT as an initial frequency estimate. The method includes selecting first and second neighboring points of the DFT based on the initial frequency estimate. The method includes generating first and second values based on amplitudes of the first and second neighboring points of the DFT. The method includes calculating a generalized interpolation value based on a generalized discrete DFT interpolation. The generalized discrete DFT interpolation is based on the first value, the second value, and the peak amplitude. The method includes generating a fine frequency estimate of the input radar signals by summing the initial frequency estimate and the generalized interpolation value.

  • Publication number: 20250222498
Abstract: An aspect relates to a container-type photovoltaic module recycling device, which is provided including at least two sections of containers that are capable of being docked at their ends in a length direction, an articulating transfer apparatus located between two adjacent containers, a junction box removal apparatus, a frame removal apparatus, and a glass stripping apparatus. On the one hand, after on-site recycling is implemented, the cells recycled from a single photovoltaic module are about 10 g in weight, in addition, the cost of moving and transporting a device once, compared with the existing centralized recycling of loaded photovoltaic module, the transportation cost will be qualitatively reduced with strong flexibility and practicality; on the other hand, through docking and articulating transfer of containers, it is not limited by on-site levelness and height differences, once the containers are docked, recycling is performed in an on-site environment with inconsistent levelness.

  • Publication number: 20250208256
Abstract: Systems and method are provided and include receiving a full calibration matrix for a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar system having N physical transmit channels, M physical receive channels, and N×M virtual transmit-receive channels, the full calibration matrix being an NM×NM complex matrix previously generated based on chamber measurement data. Transmit and receive calibration matrices are determined based on the full calibration matrix, with the transmit calibration matrix being an N×N complex matrix and the receive calibration matrix being an M×M complex matrix. The MIMO radar system uses the calibration values of the transmit and receive calibration matrices to compensate antenna responses to adjust for physical characteristics of the MIMO radar system while performing at least one of ranging and detection of an object in an environment of the MIMO radar system.

  • Publication number: 20250187610
Abstract: Systems/techniques that facilitate determining suitability of tires for vehicle operation on a road are provided. In various embodiments, a system can detect road surface conditions and restrictions from road signs by external sensors. In various aspects, the system can determine attributes of vehicle tires by internal sensors. In various embodiments, the system can determine if a vehicle is suitable to drive on a road, based on the determined tire attributes, detected restrictions, and detected road surface conditions. Furthermore, the system can determine if a vehicle is suitable to drive on a road based on permit statuses of the vehicle or can determine potential fees that can accumulate from driving on a road with the determined tire attributes. In various instances, the system can initiate, in response to a determination that the vehicle is not suitable to drive on the road, an electronic notification on a vehicle display.

  • Publication number: 20250164246
Abstract: Gyroscopes with electrodes for tuning cross-axis sensitivity are disclosed. In certain embodiments, a MEMS gyroscope includes a resonator mass that moves in a first direction (for instance, x-direction), a sensing structure that detects a Coriolis effect in a second direction (for instance, y-direction), and a plurality of electrodes that control a cross-axis stiffness of the MEMS gyroscope by controlling motion of the resonator mass in a third direction (for instance, z-direction). For example, the electrodes can be used to reduce or eliminate cross-axis sensitivity arising from cross-axis stiffnesses, such as kxz (resonator-to-orthogonal) and/or kyz (Coriolis-to-orthogonal).
