    Abstract: A comparator offset voltage self-correction circuit is disclosed. A comparator offset voltage which is caused by the semiconductor process parameter randomness also has randomness. Due to the randomness of the comparator offset voltage, a reference voltage of a parallel comparator in a parallel-conversion-type analog-to-digital converter is uncertain. If the comparator offset voltage is large, the parallel-conversion-type analog-to-digital converter may even have a functional error. The comparator offset voltage self-correction circuit provided in the present invention can correct a random offset voltage of a comparator to meet requirements.

    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a semiconductor device includes forming a channel layer on a semiconductor substrate and forming at least two spacers on the channel layer. A first portion of a gate metal layer is formed between the spacers, and a dielectric layer is conformally deposited on the spacers and the first portion of the gate metal layer. In the method, part of the dielectric layer is directionally removed from surfaces which are parallel to an upper surface of the substrate. A second portion of the gate metal layer is formed between remaining portions of the dielectric layer and on the first portion of the gate metal layer, and a cap layer is deposited on the second portion of the gate metal layer. A lateral width the second portion of the gate metal layer is less than a lateral width of the first portion of the gate metal layer.

    Abstract: An electromechanical system (MEMS) accelerometer is described. The MEMS accelerometer may be configured to sense linear acceleration along one, two or three axes, and to sense angular acceleration about one, two or three axes. As such, the MEMS accelerometer may serve as 2-axis, 3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis or 6-axis inertial accelerometer. In some embodiments, the MEMS accelerometer may comprise a single mass connected to at least one anchor via a plurality of tethers. In other embodiments, the MEMS accelerometer may comprise a proof mass connected to at least one anchor via a plurality of tethers and one or more shuttle masses connected to the proof mass via a second plurality of tethers. Rotational and linear motion of the MEMS accelerometer may be sensed using capacitive sensors.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a samarium-cobalt magnet and a method for preparing the same. The method comprises mixing an alloy powder with a zirconium powder in an amount of 0.1-0.35 wt % of the weight of the alloy powder to form a mixture. The alloy powder is formed from 10.5-13.5 wt % of samarium, 12.5-15.5 wt % gadolinium, 50-55 wt % of cobalt, 13-17 wt % of iron, 4-10 wt % of copper, and 2-7 wt % of zirconium. The method brings about at low costs a samarium-cobalt magnet having a positive temperature coefficient of remanence.

The process can enable the production of isobutane and/or light aromatics in high yield.

    Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed that includes a semiconductor device to control a power converter having two or more power FETs. The semiconductor device includes a gate signal generator configured to produce two or more gate signals able to drive the two or more FETs. The gate signal generator has programmable timing configuration parameters to control operation of the two or more gate signals, wherein the timing configuration parameters are digitally programmed via a memory in the semiconductor device. The memory may be implemented with fuses, other non-volatile memory or volatile memory. The parameters may be fixed or updated during a lifetime of the apparatus. A serial-to-parallel conversion may be used to input the parameters. Optimization methods may be performed to determine parameters considered to be optimal. The apparatus may also include the power converter.
