Abstract: A processing system may apply a data set comprising utilization metrics of a cells of a cell sector to a throughput prediction model to obtain a first predicted throughput for the cell sector for a designated future time period and for all cells being in an active state. The processing system may generate a first modified data set simulating a first cell being placed in an inactive state, by distributing utilization metrics of the first cell over at least one additional cell, and may apply the first modified data set to the throughput prediction model to obtain a second predicted throughput. The processing system may then determine that the second predicted throughput meets a threshold throughput that is based on the first predicted throughput, and transmit at least one instruction to place the first cell in the inactive state for the designated future time period in response to the determining.

Abstract: A method performed by a processing system including at least one processor includes grouping a plurality of nodes of a telecommunications network into a plurality of reference groups, based on a plurality of configuration attributes and on a plurality of load, mobility, radio frequency attributes for the plurality of nodes, selecting a first reference group of the plurality of reference groups, where the first reference group includes a subset of the plurality of nodes, selecting a first configuration parameter of the first reference group to be tuned, identifying a first value for the first configuration parameter that is most prevalent among the subset of the plurality of nodes, and setting the first configuration parameter for all nodes in the subset of the plurality of nodes to the first value.

A head-mounted display device includes a task scenario player and a speech sensing module. An action capture device generates an action message. A computing server stores a scenario setting parameter group and includes a task scenario generating module, a speech recognition module and an action recognition module. The task scenario generating module generates a virtual task scenario image and a task parameter group according to the scenario setting parameter group. The speech recognition module generates a speech recognition result and a vision training result. Then action recognition module generates an action recognition result and a sport training result. The vision training result and the sport training result are configured to judge whether the user meets a training requirement.

A disclosed method includes: extracting project and keyword data from interactions between a user and workspace applications; evaluating the project and keyword data to determine an expertise level of the user for at least one project; in response to a determined expertise level for the at least one project, determining a set of resources for the user based on historical workspace interactions of workspace users having a common expertise level; and outputting links to the set of resources to a virtual workspace of the user. Aspects analyze an expertise level for a topic and recommend resources at that level to reduce the learning curve. Aspects detect when a user is involved in a new project and determines and displays the expertise level. Resources recommended include, e.g., tools or applications, encountered problems and solutions, experts reported issues, etc.

Abstract: A method for obtaining a Computer Tomography (CT) image of an object reduces heel effect artefacts and includes generating x-rays using an x-ray source comprising an angled anode, recording at least one set of 2D projections of the object or a part thereof, and generating at least one 3D CT image of the object. Each 3D CT image is corrected, wherein scaling factors for slices of voxels are determined with at least one 3D CT calibration image that pictures similar or identical object structures of a calibration object placed within the x-ray beam path with respect to a y-direction. A contribution to grey values of voxels belonging to said object structures attributable to the slice position in the y direction is determined at least approximately, and the scaling factor for a respective slice of voxels is chosen such that it compensates for the determined grey value contribution for that slice.
