  • Publication number: 20040169744
Abstract: The invention provides an image-sensing device for auto-judging exposure time, which includes a photoelectric sensing element, a measuring unit, and a row-column selector. The photoelectric sensing element is composed of a plurality of sensing units arranged in arrays to sense the light source and convert the sensed light energy into a current signal for outputting. Besides, a measuring unit is employed to measure the current signal and a corresponding exposure time is calculated according to the sensed current signal. Also, the row-column selector can divide the sensing units into several sections by setting up the row-column selector to select a specific section for highlight exposure. Therefore, not only can the invention instantly measure the sensed optical current sensed by the photoelectric sensing element to achieve the effect of auto-judging exposure time, but the invention also is selective in exposure, low in production cost and small in volume.

  • Publication number: 20020051252
Abstract: The present invention is a fast method for image positioning of an image capturing device. The present invention refers to maintain relative position of each component of an digital image capturing device after assembly rather not to adjust the position of each component, such as, the position of an image sensor, a camera lens and a camera case. The present invention shifts a centerline of an image capturing area of the image sensor from a geometric centerline of the image sensor to an optical-axis centerline of the camera lens that the optical centerline of the image capturing area could be coincident with the optical-axis centerline of the camera lens.

  • Publication number: 20020039492
Abstract: A digital image-capturing device is mounted removably in a film-loading chamber of a camera body, and includes a lens unit disposed in front of an image-sensing device. The image-sensing device and the lens unit are aligned with a lens member on the camera body along an optical axis when the image-capturing device is disposed in the film-loading chamber. Activation of a shutter mechanism enables the lens unit to refract light rays from the lens member so as to adjust focusing and size of an image of a target object that is formed on a sensing plane of the image-sensing device. A memory device stores digital image data generated by the image-sensing device. A control device controls exposure time of the image-sensing device, and further controls storage of data in the memory device.

  • Patent number: 6023058
Abstract: A photosensitive detector (1) for detecting luminous flashes (2) is provided with a photosensitive diode (3) which is linked to a positive voltage and to ground via a resistor R1 and which is capable of transforming the luminous flashes into electrical signals and a circuit (4) that processes the electrical signals generated by the photosensitive diode (3). The circuit (4) causes electrical signals which correspond to luminous flashes (2) received by the photosensitive diode (3) and which exhibit a fast rise time to be strengthened, and the circuit (4) causes electrical signals which correspond to luminous flashes (2) received by the photosensitive diode (3) and which vary more slowly in intensity to be attenuated. The circuit (4) is linked directly to the photosensitive diode (3) and includes a differentiator circuit.

  • Patent number: 5905818
Abstract: For providing a digital representation of an optical scene, radiometric values of N.times.N points representing a real two-dimensional optical scene are measured in the form of N.times.N respective electric signals x(i,j). N.times.N masks Mnm(i,j) respectively associated with the N.times.N electric signals x(i,j) are generated. For each couple (n,m), the N.times.N electric signals x(i,j) are weighted by the corresponding N.times.N masks Mnm(i,j) and the weighted electric signals are added to obtain N.times.N coefficients of the Walsh-Hadamard transform representing the optical scene.

  • Patent number: 5749971
Abstract: Welding electrodes are continuously coated with a flux material with this pressure coating system. The flux material is supplied to the coating station by two supply bins which are automatically controlled such that the flux material is always supplied to the coating station. While one supply bin is supplying the flux material to the coating station the other bin is being replenished in an alternate manner.

  • Patent number: 5701648
Abstract: This fabricating system provides flux material coating in a continuous manner for a continuous welding electrode as well as for welding electrodes of various selected lengths. The system consists of a driving mechanism for supplying a continuous metal core to a pressure coating station. A straightening device is located between the initial driving mechanism and the coating station to ensure the metal core is in a perfectly straight form when entering the coating station. Multiple pressurized flux coating material bins are coupled to the coating station. The bins are automatically controlled such that when one bin has been depleted, a second bin will be coupled to the coating station immediately to continue the supply of coating flux material continuously to the coating station while the depleted bin is being replenished and pressurized for operation when the second bin becomes depleted.

  • Patent number: 5521857
Abstract: A process and device for the analog convolution of images, especially two-dimensional convolution operations of Gaussian type on a set of image pixels represented by voltages. The voltages are applied to a first set of capacitors. For each capacitor, one terminal is connected to a reference voltage; the other terminal is part of a network of nodes, each of which is insulated from the others. The nodes which are adjacent are connected together for a predetermined duration via a second set of uncharged capacitors. The nodes of the network are then insulated from each other again and the second set of capacitors are discharged. The steps of connecting the nodes together, insulating them from each other, and discharging the second set are repeated. Finally, the new voltages on the nodes of the network, which represent the pixels of a convolved image, are read out.

  • Patent number: 5381516
Abstract: A binary resistor network is provided for the labelling of related components of binary or binary-converted images and for artificial vision comprising a plurality of peaks each joined by arches forming binary resistors. Each peak is provided with an elementary processor which enables, with the assistance of a central controller, the association of at least one associative function with each of the arches and a binary constraint with one or more peaks, thus making possible to provide for selective processing of data stored at the site of each of the elementary processors. Each arch of the network is equipped with an associative OR function and forms an accelerated Manchester chain, the establishment time of the network through application of local binary constraints thus being thus linear with the number of peaks.
