Abstract: The present invention relates to the communication filed and discloses a method for adjusting the signal speed, a media gateway (MG), and a media gateway controller (MGC). The method includes: receiving a command request that includes signal speed adjustment information from the MGC, and adjusting the signal speed according to the signal speed adjustment information. The MG includes a receiving module, an adjusting module, and a sending module. The MGC includes a sending module. In the present invention, the media gateway control protocol is extended to enable the MGC to adjust the speed of any signal.

Abstract: A method for adjusting a signal delivery bandwidth is provided. The method includes the following steps: A media gateway (MG) receives a command request carrying signal delivery bandwidth adjusting information, and the MG adjusts the signal delivery bandwidth according to the signal delivery bandwidth adjusting information. An MG and a media gateway controller (MGC) are also provided. By extending the media gateway control protocol (H.248 or MGCP), the delivery bandwidth adjusting information of a signal is transferred while the signal is transferred, the signal is adjusted according to the signal delivery bandwidth adjusting information, a signal and/or signal list corresponding to the signal delivery bandwidth adjusting information is transferred simultaneously, and the executing process of the signal remains uninterrupted.

Abstract: A method for responding to termination service state change indication is provided. The method includes: receiving a command message indicating a termination service state change, in which the command message at least includes a method parameter and a duration parameter, the method parameter indicates a change method of the service state, and the duration parameter indicates a maintaining duration of the service state after being changed; and changing the service state of the termination according to method parameter content information of the received command message, and maintaining the changed service state according to duration parameter content information of the received command message. Accordingly, a media gateway controller (MGC) and a media gateway (MG) of the termination service state change indication based on the media gateway control protocols are also provided.

Abstract: A method for monitoring and reporting events by media gateways comprising presetting the events in the media gateways, monitoring the preset events by the media gateways and reporting the monitoring result to a media gateway controller during operation. The events can include: off-hook, on-hook, dialing, hook flash, network fault, quality alarm, and timer timeout, etc. By presetting the events in the media gateways, a system problem of the media gateways not receiving the events issued by the media gateway controller for various reasons can be avoided. The media gateways can automatically monitor and report the preset events after start up, thereby, improving stability of the system.

Abstract: A method for monitoring and reporting events by media gateways, including: presetting events in the media gateways; the media gateways monitoring the preset events and reporting the monitoring result to a media gateway controller during operation. The events may include: off-hook, on-hook, dialing, hook flash, network fault, quality alarm, and timer timeout, etc. By presetting events in the media gateways, the problem of system resulted from the fact that the media gateways can not obtain events issued from the media gateway controller due to various reasons can be avoided through presetting events in the media gateway and then monitoring and reporting the events by the media gateway automatically after the media gateways are started up. Thereby, system stability can be improved.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for controlling the reporting of an event timestamp. The method includes the following steps: a timestamp control parameter is set; the MG determines whether to report the timestamp of the event according to the timestamp control parameter. Further, the present invention discloses an MG and an MGC. The technical solution provided by the present invention controls the MG to report the timestamp of an event; enables the MGC or other applications that require the timestamp of the event to determine the actual time when the event appears according to the obtained timestamp; and controls the reported event not to include the timestamp if the MGC or other applications do not need the timestamp of the event, thus saving the bandwidth resources and other system resources.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for adjusting the value of the statistic parameter so as to enable an MGC dynamically adjust the statistic parameter under H.248 framework. The method extends the H.248 protocol. The MGC sends adjustment information to the MG. The MG adjusts the value of the specified statistic parameter in a specified adjustment manner according to the adjustment information. The adjustment manner may be direct value assignment or one adjustment operation executed by the MG combining with a local preset parameter. If the adjustment information can not be recognized or supported by the MG, or the adjustment information is not suitable for the statistic parameter, the MG returns corresponding error information to the MGC. The adjustment to the statistic parameter value by the MGC may be issued to the MG for execution at the same time with other operations such as audit.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method, system, and apparatus for filtering packets. The method includes setting packet filtering information that uniquely identifies the basic characteristics of a media stream in an Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6)-based packet header. As an apparatus for filtering packets, a media gateway (MG) uses the packet filtering information sent by the media gateway controller (MGC) to filter packets for the media stream when transferring the media stream. The method, system, and apparatus enable packet filtering for the media streams in an IPv6-based PS network. Moreover, the filtering conditions in the packet filtering information in the present disclosure is triplet information that uniquely identifies the basic characteristics of a media stream and can be obtained from the IPv6 packet header, thus reducing the complexity of the packet filtering process.

Abstract: A media gateway (MG) and a packet filtering method thereof are provided to enhance the adaptability of the packet filtering mechanism on the MG. The packet filtering rule for a service instance may be changed dynamically, namely, the MG analyzes the currently transmitted packets of a service instance, obtains the state change of the instance, and then dynamically changes the packet filtering rule of the instance according to the state change of the instance. The present invention extends the property parameters of the H.248 protocol or MGCP protocol and adds a property parameter that indicates the dynamic packet filtering function is enabled or disabled and a property parameter that indicates the service type so that the MGC can enable or disable the packet filtering function for the instance of the specified service type flexibly according to the values of such parameters.

Abstract: A method for adjusting a signal rate is disclosed. The method includes: a Media Gateway (MG) receives information indicative of a signal to be adjusted and information about an adjustment delta of the rate; the MG calculates a target rate according to a current execution rate of the signal to be adjusted and the information about the adjustment delta of the rate; and the MG executes the signal to be adjusted at the target rate. A Media Gateway Controller (MGC) and an MG are also disclosed. Through the embodiments of the present invention, the MGC can instruct the MG to adjust the rate without knowing the conventional rate of the signal, and the MG may also calculate the target rate directly based on the current rate instead of the conventional rate.

Abstract: A signal gain control method, a system, a Media Gateway (MG), and a Media Gateway Controller (MGC) are disclosed. The method includes: an MG receives control information from an MGC, where the control information is about adjusting gain of a signal by setting the gain to a specific value directly or by increasing a value of the current gain; and the MG adjusts the gain of the signal according to the control information. Through an extended (media) gateway control protocol, the MGC delivers control information to the MG, thus implementing gain adjustment.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a system for controlling storage of user input information are disclosed. The method includes: obtaining Dual Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF) digit mask control information which indicates whether DTMF digit information is suitable for storage; and deciding, when receiving DTMF digit information, whether to store the received DTMF digit information according to the obtained DTMF digit mask control information. In this way, the DTMF digit mask control information controls whether to store the user input information on the DTMF digit information processing device in the architecture with the service function being separated from the bearing function, thus avoiding information security risks brought by indiscriminate storage of sensitive contents in the user input information.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method, a system, and a device for controlling media play. The method includes: detecting Dual Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF) input; and exercising media play control for the detected DTMF input according to mapping information between media play control and the DTMF input. The system includes a controlling device and a processing device. The processing device receives the mapping information between media play control and the DTMF input, and learns which media play control operation maps to the DTMF input of the user according to the mapping information between media play control and the DTMF input after detecting the DTMF key codes input by the user. Therefore, the processing device controls media play independently, without involving control operation performed by the controlling device.

Abstract: A method for instructing a media gateway to set up termination connections is disclosed in embodiments of the present invention. The method comprises: acquiring by a media gateway controller, MGC, information on connection capability, of a media gateway, MG, for various types of terminations; and when a calling connection is required, transmits from the MGC to the MG the connection indication carrying termination connection information that the MG has connection capability, according to the information on the MG's connection capability for various types of terminations. Embodiments of the present invention can ensure that the MG can effectively implement termination connection operation, so as to ensure a smooth progress of a calling connection process and greatly improve quality of service.

Abstract: A method for a media gateway controller (MGC) to deliver a resource provision decision to a media gateway (MG) includes: the MGC receives a decision request from the MG and makes a resource provision decision according to service requirement information and/or resource status information, and delivers the resource provision decision to the MG. The present invention also discloses an MGC, an MG and a system comprising the MGC and MG. In the invention, the MGC does not deliver the resource provision decision already made according to service requirement information and/or resource status information until reception of a decision request from the MG so that the MGC delivers a resource provision decision passively upon request of the MG. The Pull mode for delivery of the resource provision decision is thus supported.

Abstract: Border/packet gateway control systems and a control method thereof are provided in the embodiments of the invention, the system includes a service control unit, a resource control unit and an interconnecting execution unit. Through schemes of the embodiments of the present invention, the service control information obtained from the service control unit by the interconnecting execution unit in charge of current interconnecting services integrates requirements of three aspects: an IP network interconnecting request, real-time network resource information and control policies of the operator, such that both the user and the operator can obtain satisfying services. According to the schemes of the embodiments of the present invention, in the NGN, highly effective, secure and reliable network interconnecting is realized through effective control on the border/packet gateway based on the network resources and control policies, and NGN network performance is thus improved.

Abstract: A statistic reporting method includes: obtaining the current time information after an MG determines that the statistic parameter value needs to be reported if the reporting of a statistic parameter value needs to be bound to the time information, when associating the current time with the current value of the statistic parameter to be reported, and reporting such information to an MGC. In the present disclosure, the MG associates the current time information with the current value of the statistic parameter to be reported, and reports such information to the MGC, thus enabling the MGC to obtain the correct time of triggering the reporting of the statistic parameter value, reducing errors and improving the accuracy of subsequent analysis and prediction based on the reported statistic parameter value.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for controlling reporting of a matching result are disclosed. A matching failure reporting parameter is set by the MGC onto the MG or is preset on the MG. In this way, the MG is controlled as to whether to report the result of a matching failure to the MGC or not report the result of the matching failure, and thus the system overhead is reduced and the operation efficiency is improved.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and system for processing a tone in a media stream are disclosed in the present inventions. The method includes: receiving, by a media gateway (MG), a command issued by a media gateway controller (MGC) which carries a property parameter for controlling removal of the tone in the media stream; and removing or reserving, by the MG, the tone in the media stream according to the property parameter.
