  • Patent number: 5967510
Abstract: A sheet transfer system for transferring sheets on which an image is recorded by an image forming system and discharging the sheets to a tray includes a conveyor belt and a vacuum fan which generates a suction force for attracting the sheets against the conveyor belt. The suction force is stronger at the downstream side portion of the conveyor belt.

  • Patent number: 5431383
Abstract: A cut sheet feeder for use with an image forming apparatus includes a sheet feed mechanism and a sheet feed unit mechanism. The sheet feed mechanism picks up stacked cut sheets one at a time from a predetermined position and feeds each sheet to an image recording portion. The sheet feed unit is vertically movable relative to the sheet feed mechanism and has a first sheet feed table. The first sheet feed table is located in an upper part of the sheet feed unit and includes a cutout portion for avoiding interference with the sheet feed mechanism when the first sheet feed table moves vertically in combination with the sheet feed unit. A second sheet feed table is located in a lower part of the sheet feed unit and vertically movable relative to the sheet feed unit.

  • Patent number: 5407192
Abstract: A sorter for sorting sheets successively supplied thereto, comprising: a fixed frame; a movable frame movable vertically with respect to the fixed frame; a plurality of bins arranged one over another at a predetermined distance and each having an upper surface sloping upwardly in a sheet supply direction for receiving thereon one or more of the sheets, the bins being supported on the movable frame; a non-sort bin situated upwardly of the bins and supported pivotally on an upper portion of the movable frame for receiving the non-sorted sheets, the non-sort bin being biased normally so as to slant upwardly in the sheet supply direction; and a holder mounted on the fixed frame, at a position to which the sheets are to be supplied, for holding the non-sorer bin horizontally against the bias.

  • Patent number: 5404805
Abstract: In a paper ejection device for a stencil printing device provided with a lifting member for producing a curvature in each sheet of ejected printing paper as seen in a cross section perpendicular to the direction of paper ejection, the lifting member is allowed to move at least between a first position which is relatively retracted from the paper ejection passage and a second position which relatively protrudes into the paper ejection passage. The movement of the lifting member may be effected according to the size or the kind of the printing paper or depending on whether a sorter is connected to the printer or not. Thus, an appropriate curvature can be given to the ejected printing paper without requiring any manual work by the user. Thus, a satisfactory paper ejecting operation can be ensured at all times without requiring any manual work by the operator of the stencil printing device.

  • Patent number: 4425638
Abstract: A record player wherein a second turntable and motor which are respectively equivalent to an ordinary turntable and motor are additionally disposed, and both the motors are driven and controlled so as to cancel their torques each other, thereby to eliminate a cross modulation distortion from a pickup.
