  • Publication number: 20060246097
Abstract: Zinc pyrithione and copper pyrithione are highly evaluated in the market as an antidandruff agent for shampoo, or an antifouling agent for ship bottom paint and fish-farming net, or an antibacterial/antifungal agent or preservative/mildewcide for industrial products and household articles. For enhancing the market value thereof, there has been a demand for a product that not only attains an increase in conventional antibacterial/antifungal effects but also exhibits novel bioactive effects and that achieves improvement with respect to problems and drawbacks relating to properties, such as solubility in seawater, and stability, such as thermal stability and weather resistance, of polymer materials. There is provided a novel pyrithione complex compound obtained by converting the conventional pyrithione metal salt to a complex compound with an oxide or hydroxide of metal such as zinc, copper or aluminum.

  • Patent number: 7081960
Abstract: A first polarizing beam splitter splits the light emitted by a light source into a measurement beam and a reference beam. The reference beam is returned by a second polarizing beam splitter and an optical member which is constituted by a right angle prism and a pentaprism, reenters the first polarizing beam splitter via a half wavelength plate and guided to a detector. On the other hand, the measurement beam is reflected by a corner mirror, is returned by the second polarizing beam splitter and the optical member, is reflected by the corner mirror again, reenters the first polarizing beam splitter via a half wavelength plate and guided to the detector. The optical member returns the measurement beam such that the measurement beam exits at the different point from the incident point and that light rays incident thereon in a state shifted from each other are returned with the shifted direction and shifted amount between each light rays kept unchanged.

  • Patent number: 5503954
Abstract: A nonmagnetic one-component toner is produced by the steps of applying inorganic fine particles having an average particle diameter of not less than 30 nm and less than 100 nm to the surface of the toner having a binder resin and a colorant; and removing agglomerations of the inorganic fine particles remaining unadhered on the toner surface using a cyclone in a gas stream. The inorganic fine particles used in the present invention have a particle diameter in suitable ranges, so that the resulting toner can have suitable powder fluidity, and that these inorganic fine particles are less likely to be embedded into the inner portion of the toner by the nip pressure exerted by such members as the charging blade. Therefore, by using the toner of the present invention, a nonmagnetic one-component developing system with small variations in image density and image quality after continuous copying can be provided.
