  • Publication number: 20100124134
Abstract: A semiconductor device includes a plurality of memory cells and a sense amplifier circuit which further includes a plurality of elements such as MOS transistor formed in a well, wherein sensitive element, which are sensitive to dispersion of an impurity density in the well, is distanced from a boundary and are disposed in the center region of the well, while non-sensitive element is disposed in the peripheral region close to the boundary in the well. Since sensitive element requiring precise control of threshold voltage is disposed in the center region having uniform impurity density, and non-sensitive element allowing for less precise control of threshold voltage is disposed in the peripheral region suffering from uneven impurity density, it is possible to effectively use the overall area of the well and to thereby suppress an increase in the layout area of chips.

  • Patent number: 7551670
Abstract: The present invention provides a UWB communication device and a UWB communication method with which the communication speed can be improved, and with which accurate sending and receiving of data and a lower power consumption can be achieved. A communication device in accordance with the present invention employs a sending/receiving method of sending four bits of data within four cycles of a system clock, sending the four bits of data by correlating them in a 1-to-1 relationship with seven types of pulse waveforms with only one pulse during the first seven half-cycles and nine different types of pulse waveforms with two pulses during the first seven half-cycles of four cycles of the system clock, and at the receiving side demodulating the modulated input data by correlating the sixteen types of pulse waveforms that have been sent back to the four bits of data. Furthermore, when receiving, the width of the received pulses is set to a length of 1.

  • Patent number: 7450894
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes first and second toner image forming sections and a transfer unit. The first and second toner image forming sections include first and second image carriers and first and second intermediate transfer members, respectively. The color toner images are formed on the image carrier and then transferred onto the intermediate transfer member to form a composite color toner image on the intermediate transfer member. In a first mode, the first and second toner image forming sections form both the composite dark and light color toner images on the recording material. In a second mode, the second intermediate transfer member is moved out of contact with the transfer unit and the second image carrier and the second intermediate transfer member are not operated, so that only the first toner image forming section forms the composite dark color toner image on the recording material.
