  • Patent number: 6834535
Abstract: A pressure-changing device of a leak check system for a fuel vapor treatment system has a pressure chamber formed in a peripheral space of a communicating path connecting a pump with an electromagnetic valve, the pressure chamber being deviated from flow delivered by the pump. The electromagnetic valve is opened to connect the communicating path with a canister. Then, a purge valve is closed and the pump is turned on to change pressure in a fuel vapor path. A pressure sensor attached on a side wall of the pressure chamber detects pressure in the communicating path to determine pressure in the fuel vapor path. The leak check system judges existence of leak in the fuel vapor treatment system from pressure in the fuel vapor path.

  • Patent number: 6813952
Abstract: A pressure sensor device having a temperature sensor includes a pressure sensor, a temperature sensor, a sensor casing for accommodating the pressure sensor and a connector pin for electrically connecting the pressure sensor to an outside circuit, and an inlet port mounted on the sensor casing and having a pressure introduction port for introducing a measuring object to the pressure sensor. The temperature sensor comprises a temperature sensing element and a pair of lead wires and is disposed in the pressure introduction port. The lead wires of the temperature sensor are welded to and supported by the connector pin. One of the lead wires is formed as a U-shape and inserted into the pressure introduction port while the U-shaped lead wire is inwardly depressed, so that a reaction force is generated at the lead wire, which outwardly urges the lead wire and the temperature sensing element to an inner wall of the pressure introduction port.

  • Patent number: 6483926
Abstract: A noise suppressor for reducing propagation of a floor impact noise generated in an upper story to a lower story in a multi-storied building is disclosed. A reference sensor set at a position between a floor of the upper story and a ceiling of the lower story detects a floor impact noise generated in the upper story and converts the noise to an electric signal. This signal is computed and processed by a control unit and transmitted to a speaker located at a position lower than the reference sensor. The speaker emitts a sound wave interfering the floor impact noise to eliminate the noise. The noise not having been suppressed is detected by an error sensor and processed together with the noise detected by the reference sensor by the control unit, thus a sound wave to be emitted from the speaker is corrected appropriately.

  • Patent number: 6014696
Abstract: A method for restricting a client or user to refer to data of a WWW server by using a WWW browser. In the present method, when the WWW browser demands to refer to a page-descriptive file and a relevant data file of the WWW server, an auxiliary program of the server side generates, for example, new files which respectively have the same substantial contents as the above two files while directory-file names of character sequences for specifying each of the new files are respectively different from those of the above files to be referred to, each new file name including a character sequence specific to the user unit, so as to permit only a user unit (such as a client or a user of the client) to refer to the data. The WWW browser of the user side refers to the files of different names.

  • Patent number: 5965807
Abstract: A brake hydraulic pressure detector includes a bridge circuit made up of a semiconductor sensor which generates a detection voltage in accordance with hydraulic pressure and resistors for setting the detection voltage during nonbraking to a nonzero predetermined voltage, an adder circuit for amplifying and generating the detection voltage from the bridge circuit by a predetermined gain, and an output circuit. Here, if the sensitivity of an output voltage with respect to the hydraulic pressure varies, i.e., if the gain varies for some reason, the output voltage during nonbraking also changes because the offset voltage is set to a nonzero voltage. Thus, abnormality in the sensitivity of the brake hydraulic pressure detector can be detected by monitoring the output voltage during nonbraking.

  • Patent number: 5960852
Abstract: A cavity defined by a casting mold is filled with a molten metal in such a condition that a sliding member movable forward and rearward has been moved into the cavity. The sliding member is drawn out of the cavity when the molten metal solidifies to such a degree as to maintain a certain shape. A separate member to be force-fitted is placed between the distal end of the sliding member and the cavity. The sliding member is then advanced into the cavity so that the separate member is force-fitted into a concave portion formed in the casting before the casting mold enclosing the casting is opened. The separate member is thus force-fitted into the casting while the casting is enclosed in the casting mold.

  • Patent number: 5718280
Abstract: A die casting process, and a die casting apparatus make it possible to produce high-quality cast products, which little involve gas defects, with simplified constructions, such as an electromagnetic induction coil disposed around a plunger sleeve, and a contractible container disposed movably in a plunger sleeve. With these simplified constructions, a molten metal is localized on a side of a retracted plunger chip disposed in the plunger sleeve. Accordingly, when the retracted plunger chip is advanced, only gases, contained in the plunger sleeve, can be transferred to a cavity of a mold at first, and thereafter the localized molten metal can be injected into the cavity. Thus, it is possible to effectively inhibit the molten metal from involving the gases.

  • Patent number: 5644500
Abstract: This invention is directed to a method and apparatus to find out an optimum solution in automatic routing or automatic placement with certainty and at a high-speed to improve a routing rate, and to realize automatic routing in a high-density. To these end, a routing approach is selected in a conversational mode while routing efficiency is consulted to compose routing processing procedure so as to generate a routing program. Besides, component placement processing procedures designated according to placement control information are combined to generate the placement program. A straight line between component pins adjacent to each other is defined as a chord, a wave for maze method routing is generated from a start point toward an end point of a routing path and propagated between the chords adjacent to each other.
