Provided is a method for producing immortalized stem cells, the method being provided with: a step for producing a DNA fragment that includes a telomerase reverse transcriptase and at least one gene selected from the group consisting of Bmi-1, human papilloma virus E6, and human papilloma virus E7; a step for producing a viral vector that incorporates the DNA fragment including the gene; a step for transfecting the viral vector into mammalian stem cells and introducing the gene into the stem cells; and a step for culturing the stem cells into which the gene was introduced and using a drug to select immortalized stem cells.
