  • Publication number: 20050109292
Abstract: An inventive cooling unit for an internal combustion engine comprises a plurality of cooling fins provided on outer surfaces of a cylinder block and a cylinder head, and vibration control rubbers interposed between cooling fins that face each other so as form a cooling air guide which guides air flow along lateral sides of the engine to rear parts of the engine. The cooling unit significantly increases the cooling efficiency of a cylinder and prevents vibration of cooling fins by interposing vibration control rubbers between cooling fins that face each other. The vibration control rubbers are formed in a streamlined shape and direct the flow of traveling air within the cooling fins about the exterior surface of the engine. The arrangement of the vibration control rubbers on side surfaces of the engine is such that angle ? of longitudinal axes of the vibration control rubbers with respect to the advancing direction of the vehicle becomes gradually larger moving from the front to the rear of the engine.

  • Patent number: 6695394
Abstract: The pickup truck has a back panel separating the passenger compartment and cargo bed, connected to the rear floor panel of the vehicle and formed with an opening which is opened and closed by a hinged panel. A lower back panel constitutes the lower end of the back panel and defines the bottom edge of the opening. The lower back panel has a forward flange and a backward flange extending a certain distance from its front and rear ends. The flanges are connected to the rear floor panel such that the lower back panel and the rear floor panel together form a closed space therein. Thereby, the rigidity of the lower back panel, in particular, the bottom edge of the opening in the back panel where a cargo tray is mounted is increased, so that deformation of the lower back panel due to heavy cargo load can be prevented. The front circumferential edge of the forward flange is bent upward, and drain parts which extend through the rear floor panel are formed at predetermined positions in the forward flange.

  • Publication number: 20040013398
Abstract: The present invention is relative with a reproducing apparatus and a receiving apparatus for affording the impression or evaluation in line with the intention of a content supplier to the audience. The reproducing apparatus reproduces an optical disc (1) in which the contents and the estimated evaluation values are recorded at the outset. The estimated evaluation values recorded on the optical disc (1) have been set by the content supplier based on estimated impression or evaluation by the audience on the content. As the reproducing apparatus reproduces the content, the apparatus measures the reaction of the audience by a reaction value inputting unit (61), calculates the impression or evaluation by the audience for the content by a recognition evaluation value calculating unit (63) and compares the recognized evaluation values to the estimated evaluation values read out from the optical disc (1) in a control evaluation value calculating unit (53).

  • Patent number: 6648400
Abstract: A pickup truck has a rear vehicle body structure in which a fuel piping system is guided through a rear wheel apron along a cargo bed of the vehicle. A reinforcing member is jointed to the rear wheel apron such as to cover a part of the apron at which a hose of the fuel piping system is led out onto the cargo bed. A lower end of the reinforcing member is bent toward the vehicle body center to form a flange. The rear wheel apron and the rear floor panel are jointed together, with a side edge of the rear floor panel being superposed on the flange of the reinforcing member. The linking strength between the rear wheel apron and the cargo bed of the vehicle is thereby increased without adding any major change in the body design. While the rigidity around the rear wheel apron is improved, the structure does not inhibit the vehicle body from being deformed in a rear impact collision and is capable of protecting the fuel piping system from the impact.
