  • Patent number: 6641152
Abstract: A swing suppressing device includes a damper that may switch over between an expansion/retraction enable condition and an expansion/retraction disable condition; and a link mechanism for coupling the damper and the axle with each other. The damper is disposed with its expansion/retraction direction substantially in a horizontal direction between the vehicle body and the axle, and with its one end being connected to the vehicle body and the other end being connected to the axle through the link mechanism. The link mechanism converts the swing motion in the up-and-down direction of the axle and transmits it to the damper.

  • Publication number: 20020041544
Abstract: For reproducing and/or recording information from/onto an optical disc, a pickup is used to detect a target track on the disc through an optical beam. In carriage servo control, movement of the pickup is servo-controlled in the radial direction of the optical disc. In this control, a tracking error signal is produced by a preamplifier. A pulse signal is produced, in which the period of the pulse signal is set to a constant amount corresponding to the accuracy of movement of the pickup. Based on the pulse signal and the tracking error signal, a carriage control signal to move the pickup is produced. The carriage control signal is then supplied to a carriage motor by a driver, so that the pickup is moved.

  • Publication number: 20010008471
Abstract: Partial information such as the beginning data of each of chapters is read from a CD and written in a HDD 10 at a higher speed than that in a normal reproduction while the normal reproduction is carried out using a buffer memory 8. After the chapters relative to all CDs have been written in the HDD 10, reproduction is carried out in switching between the information remaining in the HDD 10 and the information included in the CD. This configuration makes it unnecessary to record the information beforehand, and permits an unreproduciable blank in reproduction to be filled with audio information during track search or CD change while the reproduction is carried out normally.

  • Patent number: 6183278
Abstract: A lever member 82, having an operating portion 83, is pivotally mounted on a lever support portion mounted on an upper casing. Retaining projections 84 are elastically-deformably formed respectively on those portions of opposite side surfaces of the operating portion which can be opposed to a pair of support side plates 22, respectively. The retaining projections 84 has elasticity, and therefore a force, required for bringing the retaining projections into and out of retaining engagement with retaining projections formed on the lever support portion, can be reduced, and besides the sense of a click can be obtained. Therefore, the efficiency of the operation, the operability and the reliability can be enhanced.
