  • Patent number: 6801066
Abstract: An apparatus for generating quadrature phase signals in a half-rate data recovery circuit, which is adapted to generate a first and a second clock signals having the same frequency and being 90 degrees out of phase with each other. The apparatus for generating quadrature phase signals mainly comprises a base selector, a first phase interpolator and a second phase interpolator. The base selector generates, based on a region control signal, a pair of phase region boundaries for the first clock signal as well as a pair of phase region boundaries for the second clock signal by using a plurality of reference clock signals. The first and second phase interpolators perform, based on a position control signal, weighted average processes for the two pairs of phase region boundaries, respectively, to thereby obtain the first and the second clock signals.

  • Publication number: 20040193301
Abstract: System and method for controlling the use of control wafers in a semiconductor fabrication line with load balancing and resource minimization. A preferred embodiment comprises a control wafer manager (for example, control wafer manager 605) and an inventory manager (for example, inventory manager 630). The control wafer manager uses a fabrication process dependency graph (for example, fabrication process dependency graph 407) to help determine where a control wafer may be able to go after it has completed its current process step. The inventory manager uses available inventory at each process step to assist in the decision process. Finally, a check-in process is used to ensure accurate inventory control.

  • Patent number: 6075538
Abstract: A computationally time and space efficient data structure and method and system for using the same for surface rendering. The basis for the new data structure lies in organizing a volume data set for surface rendering into a new format where the cells needed for the surface rendering can be searched and displayed more efficiently. Given a threshold t specified by the user, the present data structure is able to efficiently identify all surface cells saving valuable processing time by providing three unique beneficial characteristics. First, given a threshold t, it can directly provide all S-cells without having to check most of the 1-cells and 0-cells such that no time is wasted on visiting the intermediate nodes. Second, it facilitates significant savings in memory space where the data structure only requires N.sup.3 pointers for data storage saving memory space for all intermediate nodes, i.e. O(N.sup.3) pairs of (Min, Max).
