    Abstract: A method for improving a reading resolution of a biosensor is provided. The present invention includes applying a specimen on a chip of a biosensor, and a voltage-time discharge curve is established in response to a specific component in the specimen detected by the chip. Using a voltage V0 of a sampling time t0 of the voltage-time discharge curve as a central voltage, and selecting a plurality of respective voltages of sampling times close to the sampling time t0. Obtaining an average voltage of the central voltage V0 and these selected respective voltages to serve as an output voltage of the sampling time t0. Determining a respective average voltage corresponding to each sampling time of the voltage-time discharge curve before the time of discharge ending based on the former step, to serve as the output voltage of the each sampling time. The each output voltage is converted to a set of digital signals.

    Abstract: An apparatus with a combination of a point light source and a single lens is provided. The present apparatus includes a point light source, a photodetector and a lens. The lens is placed in the same side of the point light source and the photodetector in order that the light emitting from the point light source is focused onto a target area of an object through the lens. The reflected light from the target area is focused onto the photodetector through the lens. The present apparatus can qualitatively and quantitatively monitor a content of a specific component of a tested solution. The geometric relationship of the point light source, the photodetector and the single lens can improve a measuring resolution of the present apparatus.

    Abstract: A scanning method in which a scanning head moves back and forth to scan a paper sheet located in a scanning window is disclosed. The method of the present invention includes the steps of a) making the paper sheet go forward a first distance into the scanning window; b) the scanning head scanning a portion of the paper sheet; c) the transmission mechanism driving the scanning head to move a second distance in a first direction, wherein the second distance is smaller than the first distance; d) repeating the steps b) and c) until the scanning head completely scans a plurality of portions of the paper sheet in the scanning region; e) repeating the steps a), b), c) and d), except that the scanning head moves in a second direction opposite to the first; f) repeating the steps a), b), c), d), and e), the movement of the scanning head alternating between a first and second direction, until the scanning head completely scans the paper sheet to be scanned.

    Abstract: The invention discloses an improved structure of light-source module, which arranges a reflection piece of light-source module in an image picking-up device of optical scanner. The invention applies the design of improved reflection piece to generate a compensatory function to the light source to reduce the waste formed by the light dissipation, which will be gathered by the reflection piece and be reflected to the document to be scanned. With the design of appropriate angle and position, the reflection piece may completely reflect the light onto the document to be scanned for obtaining a preferable quality of scanned image. Wherein, the reflection piece may be designed as two pieces, one of which may reach the function of light compensation, or one reflection piece may be designed as two reflection parts, one of which may reach the function of light compensation.

The image scanner comprises a shell, a document window glass, a transmission document carrier, and an optical chassis. The shell has a groove on its upper surface. The transmission document carrier is capable of connecting with the groove, for scanning the transmission document. The optical chassis is provided at a proper location, for retrieving the images of the reflection document and the transmission document and converting them to an electronic signal. Wherein, by placing the document window glass or transmission document carrier into the groove, the image scanner is capable of scanning the reflection document or transmission document, respectively.

While being pushed by the chassis and pressed by the flexible structure, the transparent flat panel is in a floating status. When the chassis is periodically shifting to perform scanning, the transparent flat panel is correspondingly undulating up and down according to the periodic movement of the chassis; and consequently, the document disposed on the transparent flat panel is shifted up and down accordingly.

    Abstract: A document surface micro-adjust mechanism for an optical scanner. The optical scanner has an outer casing with a transparent document platform in the upper section. An optical lens is enclosed inside the outer casing. The document surface micro-adjust mechanism uses a carrier chassis to embed the transparent document platform. One end of the carrier chassis is hinged upon the upper wall of the outer casing while the other end of the carrier chassis has a through hole to be engaged to a locking hole on a latching structure attached to the upper section of the outer casing. A locking element passes through the through-hole to engage with the locking hole. An elastic element is positioned between the carrier chassis and the latching structure. Depth of the locking element inside the locking hole may be adjusted to vary optical distance from the document surface of the transparent document platform to the optical lens inside the scanner.
