  • Publication number: 20190055875
Abstract: An exhaust system for an off road vehicle includes a main intake pipe running in a generally longitudinal direction on the vehicle, receiving gasses from a first intake pipe for a forward cylinder and from a second intake pipe for a rearward cylinder of an mid-mounted internal combustion engine. A catalytic converter receives gasses from the main intake pipe. Instead of being mounted longitudinally, the catalytic converter extends in a transverse direction, at the rearward end of the exhaust system, behind the axis of the rear wheels. A muffler, located over the axis of the rear wheels, also extends in a transverse direction and receives gasses from the catalytic converter. The muffler outputs the gasses through a tailpipe, which is preferably above and extends wider than the main intake pipe.

  • Patent number: 10119955
Abstract: A solid state molecular sensor having an aperture extending through a thickness of a sensing material is configured with a continuous electrically-conducting path extending in the sensing material around the aperture. A supply reservoir is connected to provide a molecular species, having a molecular length, from the supply reservoir to an input port of the aperture. A collection reservoir is connected to collect the molecular species from an output port of the aperture after translocation of the molecular species from the supply reservoir through the sensing aperture. The sensing aperture has a length between the input and output ports, in the sensing material, that is substantially no greater than the molecular length of the molecular species from the supply reservoir. An electrical connection to the sensing material measures a change in an electrical characteristic of the sensing material during the molecular species translocation through the aperture.

  • Patent number: 10022326
Abstract: Liposomal compositions comprising peptide epoxyketone compounds are described, as well as methods of making and using such liposomal compositions. These liposomal compositions enhance the therapeutic window of peptide epoxyketone compounds by improving in vivo half-life relative to non-liposomal compositions comprising peptide epoxyketone compounds, providing desirable pharmacodynamic profiles, and providing anti-tumor activity in a human tumor xenograft model, greater than or equal to non-liposomal compositions comprising peptide epoxyketone compounds. Further, experiments performed in support of the present invention demonstrated improved tolerability of liposomal compositions comprising peptide epoxyketone compounds.

  • Publication number: 20180164651
Abstract: A power-off protection circuit and a power-off protection method of an electrochromic device are revealed. A compelling bleached unit is connected to two electrodes of an electrochromic element in parallel. When a power provided to the electrochromic element is turned off, the compelling bleached unit forces the electrochromic element to be bleached by creating a short circuit in the electrochromic element. Thus quality of the electrochromic element will not be affected by the condition that the electrochromic element remains colored and unable to be bleached when the electrochromic element is still in the colored state and the power is suddenly cut-off.
