  • Publication number: 20190012315
Abstract: A machine translation system can improve results of machine translations by employing preferred translations, such as human translated phrases. In some implementations, the machine translation system can use the preferred translations as heavily weighted training data when building a machine translation engine. In some implementations, the machine translation system can use the preferred translations as an alternate to a result that would have otherwise been produced by a machine translation engine. While it is infeasible to obtain human translations for all translation phrases, preferred translations can be used for problem phrases for which machine translation engines often produce poor translations. The machine translation system can identify problem phrases by assigning a quality score to each translation in a set of translations.

  • Publication number: 20180368739
Abstract: In one aspect, embodiments of the present disclosure can comprise a non-contact signal detection system for detecting movement associated with a subject. The system can comprise a carrier source configured to generate a first carrier signal in phase coherence with a second carrier signal. Additionally, the system may incorporate a phase-locked loop including noise pre-cancellation system for suppressing the noise associated with a beat signal and a controlled oscillation system. The noise pre-cancellation system can be configured to phase-lock the beat signal to a first reference signal in order to stabilize the phase of the beat signal and pre-cancel the noise associated with the beat signal. The controlled oscillation system can include a propagation pathway on which a transmission signal is phase-modulated with a vibratory signal of the subject. Once acquired, the vibratory signal can have suppressed noise.

  • Publication number: 20180373788
Abstract: Technology is discussed herein for identifying comparatively trending topics between groups of posts. Groups of posts can be selected based on parameters such as author age, location, gender, etc., or based on information about content items such as when they were posted or what keywords they contain. Topics, as one or more groups of words, can each be given a rank score for each group based on the topic's frequency within each group. A difference score for selected topics can be computed based on a difference between the rank score for the selected topic in each of the groups. When the difference score for a selected topic is above a specified threshold, that selected topic can be identified as a comparatively trending topic.

  • Publication number: 20180374750
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to form fully self-aligned vias are described. First conductive lines are recessed in a first insulating layer on a substrate. A first metal film is formed in the recessed first conductive lines and pillars are formed from the first metal film. Some of the pillars are selectively removed and a second insulating layer is deposited around the remaining pillar. The remaining pillars are removed to form vias in the second insulating layer. A third insulating layer is deposited in the vias and an overburden is formed on the second insulating layer. Portions of the overburden are selectively etched from the second insulating layer to expose the second insulating layer and the filled vias and leaving portions of the third insulating layer on the second insulating layer. The third insulating layer is etched from the filled vias to form a via opening to the first conductive line.

  • Publication number: 20180349515
Abstract: Technology is discussed herein for identifying trending actions within a group of posts matching a query. A group of posts can be selected based on specified actions, action targets, or parameters such as author age, location, gender, when the posts were posted or what keywords they contain. Selected posts can be divided into sentences and a dependency structure can be created for each sentence classifying portions of the sentence as actions or action targets. Statistics can be generated for each sentence or post indicating whether it matches the actions, action targets, or other parameters specified in the query. Based on these statistics, additional information can be gathered to respond to questions posed in the query.
