    Abstract: Methods for representing crystal structure of inorganic materials in matrix form, and for quantitative comparison of multiple inorganic materials, can be employed to identify candidate materials with high potential to possess a desired property. Such methods can include conversion of an atomic coordinate set to a coordinate set for an anion only lattice, anion substitution, and unit cell re-scaling. Such methods can further include simulation of x-ray diffraction data for modified anion-only lattices, and generation of n×2 matrices from the simulated diffraction data. Quantitative structural similarity values can be derived from the n×2 matrices. The quantitative structural similarity values can be useful for structural categorization, as well as prediction of functional properties.

    Abstract: A method for producing a substantially spherical metal powder is described. A particulate source metal includes a primary particulate and has an average starting particle size. The particulate source metal is optionally ball milled and mixed with a binder in a solvent to form a slurry. The slurry is granulated to form substantially spherical granules, wherein each granule comprises an agglomeration of particulate source metal in the binder. The granules are debinded at a debinding temperature to remove the binder from the granules forming debinded granules. The debinded granules are at least partially sintered at a sintering temperature such that particles within each granule fuse together to form partially or fully sintered solid granules. The granules can then be optionally recovered to form a substantially spherical metal powder.

    Abstract: Example implementations relate to determining whether network invariants are violated by flow rules to be implemented by the data plane of a network. In an example, a verification module implemented on a device receives a flow rule transmitted from an SDN controller to a switch, the flow rule relating to an event. The module determines whether the flow rule matches any of a plurality of network invariants cached in the device. If determined that the flow rule matches one of the plurality of network invariants, the verification module determines whether the flow rule violates the matched network invariant. If determined that the flow rule does not match any of the plurality of network invariants, the verification module (1) reports the event associated with the flow rule to a policy management module, (2) receives a new network invariant related to the event from the policy management module, and (3) determines whether the flow rule violates the new network invariant.

The system may generate multiple candidate translations, and may present the candidate translations to different groups of users, such as users of a social network. User engagement with the different candidate translations may be measured, and the system may determine which of the candidate translations was most favored by the users. For example, in the context of a social network, the number of times that the translation is liked or shared, or the number of comments associated with the translation, may be used to determine user engagement with the translation. The models of the machine translation system may be modified to favor the most-favored candidate translation. The translation system may repeat this process to continue to tune the models in a feedback loop.

The base layer and protective layer are prepared using water-based paints, while the second layer is prepared using UV ink through curing. The transparency and surface smoothness of the fiber is thereby greatly improved. Through treatment on the both surfaces, the paper can be processed into a light and smooth paper, with a surface smoothness of both sides more than 200 s, just like hyaline paper.
