  • Patent number: 8596859
Abstract: Mixing devices and systems are disclosed for storing separate components and for mixing and dispensing those components on demand. A mixing device includes a syringe having a generally tubular housing formed with a mixing chamber. A plunger is fitted to the tubular housing to form a first syringe. A dispensing syringe is releasably connected to the mixing chamber. At this point each syringe holds a desired amount of a mixture component. The contents of one syringe are passed through the mixing chamber to the other syringe, forming a usually incomplete mixture. The mixture is then passed through the mixing chamber to the other syringe. Multiple passes through the mixing chamber are continued until the desired mixing result is achieved, and the mixture material is contained in the second syringe that is used to thereafter dispense desired amounts of the mixture.

  • Publication number: 20130272169
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses are directed to reconfiguring a time division duplex (TDD) uplink/downlink (UL/DL) configuration. A first TDD UL/DL configuration can be identified for a first radio frame. A second TDD UL/DL configuration can be identified for a second radio frame adjacent the first radio frame. The second TDD UL/DL configuration can be identified based, at least in part, on one or more subframes of the second TDD UL/DL configuration that can communicate hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) indicators for corresponding subframes of the first TDD UL/DL configuration.

  • Publication number: 20130242813
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure describe determining a downlink (DL) hybrid automatic repeat request (HARD) timing linkage between a first component carrier and a second component carrier, the first component carrier having a different uplink (UL) and DL configuration than the second component carrier. A derived downlink association set can be determined. A PUCCH resource in a subframe can be identified based on a first downlink association set associated with the first component carrier and the derived downlink association set.

  • Publication number: 20130242815
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods of a wireless communications network include identifying a first downlink control channel. The possibility of an acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) resource collision on a first uplink control channel is determined for a first component carrier and a second uplink control channel for a second carrier component. A second downlink control channel can be identified to avoid the ACK/NACK resource collision.

  • Publication number: 20130242881
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods performed as part of a wireless communications network include determining a downlink (DL) hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) timing for a first component carrier and a second component carrier, the first component carrier having a different DL HARQ timing configuration than the second component carrier. A physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource can be identified for the second component carrier. An indicator of the PUCCH resource can be sent to a user equipment.

  • Publication number: 20130194981
Abstract: In some implementations, a method of wireless communications between a wireless communications network and wireless user equipment includes receiving, using a primary Time Division Duplex (TDD) configuration, data on a primary component carrier in a first frequency band. Using a secondary TDD configuration, data on a secondary component carrier is received in a second frequency band different from the first frequency band. A Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) for data received on the secondary component carrier is transmitted using a supplemental TDD configuration. A transmission or retransmission on the secondary component carrier uses a supplemental TDD configuration as well. The supplemental TDD configuration is different from the secondary TDD configuration. Furthermore, an uplink supplemental configuration may be different from a downlink supplemental configuration.

  • Publication number: 20090194891
Abstract: High-quality long periodic grating (LPGs) were written in air-core photonic bandgap fibers by use of high frequency short duration CO2 laser pulses to periodically vary the size and shape of the air-holes in the holey cladding. The variation of cladding holes changes the waveguide structure, instead of the index of the materials forming the waveguide, and resonantly couples the core mode to discrete higher order or surface-like modes and then to lossy quasi-continuum of cladding and radiating modes. This mechanism is different from LPGs in solid core fibers in which the core mode is directly coupled into discrete cladding modes. The LPGs in hollow-core PBFs have unique properties such as very large PDL, very small or insensitivity to temperature, bent and external refractive index, and large strain sensitivity, and will have applications in both communication devices and sensors.
