    Abstract: The present invention creates a novel antiangiogenic agent and provides an antitumor agent which shows high safety as compared with conventional antitumor agents, has a sure effect and is able to be administered for a long period. That is, it provides an indole compound represented by the following formula (I), its pharmacologically acceptable salt or hydrates thereof: In the formula, R1 represents hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or cyano group; R2 and R3 are the same as or different from and each represents hydrogen atom, a C1˜C4 lower alkyl group or a halogen atom; R4 represents hydrogen atom or a C1˜C4 lower alkyl group; and the ring A represents cyanophenyl group, aminosulfonylphenyl group, aminopyridyl group, aminopyrimidyl group, a halopyridyl group or cyanothiophenyl group, provided that the case where all of R1, R2 and R3 are hydrogen atoms, where both R2 and R3 are hydrogen atoms or where the ring A is aminosulfonyl group and both R1 and R2 are halogen atoms is excluded.

    Abstract: A process for polymerizing 1,3-butadiene into a low molecular weight high-cis polybutadiene is described using a catalyst system comprising: (a) a neodymium-containing compound, (b) an aluminoxane or a trialkyl aluminum compound, (c) an organoaluminum hydride, and (d) a halogen source. A blend of a high molecular weight high-cis polybutadiene and the low molecular weight high-cis polybutadiene is also disclosed for use in pneumatic tire treads. Desirably both the high and the low molecular weight polymers have high cis contents, with the low molecular weight polymer being at least 70 percent cis and the high molecular weight polymer being at least 92 percent cis. Desirably both polymers are made with a neodymium catalyst system. The blends provide a balance of properties including good snow traction, wet traction, and rolling resistance while providing a balance of good physical properties including tension at break, modulus etc.

    Abstract: A polymer modified with an alkoxysilane is prepared by a reaction forming a bond between an alkoxysilane compound represented by General Formula (I) and at least one of end parts of a conjugated diene/vinylaromatic hydrocarbon copolymer obtained by copolymerization of a conjugated diene and a vinylaromatic hydrocarbon using a lithium compound as an initiator. An adhesive composition contains 3% by weight or more of the polymer modified with an alkoxysilane. The polymer is used for an adhesive composition, can be prepared by a simple process, has excellent adhesive property and durability so that an additive such as a tackifier is not always required, and has essentially enhanced adhesive property to inorganic materials, in particular. The adhesive composition in which the polymer is used has excellent adhesive property and durability.
