  • Patent number: 7097744
Abstract: In one embodiment, a target alignment surface disposed on a target support mechanically engages a darkspace shield alignment surface disposed on a darkspace shield as the target is lodged into a chamber body. The respective alignment surfaces are shaped and positioned so that the darkspace shield is physically moved to a desired aligned position as the alignment surfaces engage each other. In this manner a darkspace shield may be directly aligned to a target within a semiconductor fabrication chamber to provide a suitable darkspace gap between the target and the darkspace shield.

  • Publication number: 20060047505
Abstract: A disk device and microphone are arranged in a device main body. The case of the disk device includes a first shell having a bottom, and a second shell having a top cover. A disk-shaped recording medium is contained in the case. The microphone is positioned closer to the top cover of the disk device than to the bottom of the disk device in the thickness direction of the device main body. Assuming that ? represents the angle between straight line connecting the disk device to the microphone by the most direct way, and a plane parallel to a surface of the top cover of the disk device, the disk device and microphone arranged to satisfy the following relationship with respect to the maximum deformation angle ? of the top cover of the disk device in a lowest-order vibration mode: 0??<90°??.

  • Publication number: 20060045480
Abstract: In an optical disc recording and reproducing apparatus, when a time shift determining unit determines that a time shift reproduction is currently performed, a reservation determining unit determines whether or not there is a timer reservation in the next place. When it is determined that there is the timer reservation and a pre-time determining unit determines that the timer reservation is performed a prescribed time before a reserved time, a first reservation performing unit performs an operation of a record by the timer reservation. Then, after the recording by the timer reservation is finished, a time shift reproducing unit continuously performs the time shift reproduction without turning off a power. After the time shift reproduction is continuously performed, when there is a timer reservation, a second reservation performing unit performs recording by the timer reservation.

  • Publication number: 20060014053
Abstract: A magnetic disk includes a flat disk-shaped substrate having a center hole and a recording region formed on an obverse and/or reverse surface of the substrate and patterned depending on the presence of a magnetic material. The recording region has a data region pattern and a plurality of servo region patterns formed substantially in circular arcs which radially extend from the center hole side of the substrate to an outer peripheral edge portion thereof and divide the data region pattern in a plurality of parts in the circumferential direction of the substrate. Each servo region pattern has a radius larger than that of the outmost periphery of the substrate and a center of the circular arc on a circular path concentric with the substrate. The data region pattern and each of the servo region patterns have different magnetic occupancies and different optical reflection factors.

  • Patent number: 6903905
Abstract: This invention provides a perpendicular magnetic recording type disk drive comprised of a double-layered disk medium and a magnetic head containing a read head element containing a GMR element. • Publication number: 20050002123
Abstract: There is disclosed a disk drive having a magnetic device for applying a direct current magnetic field to the disk 1 by using a disk with a double-layered structure in which a soft magnetic layer is provided on a lower layer of the recording magnetic layer. The magnetic device generates a direct current magnetic field to uniform a magnetic domain state of the soft magnetic layer of the disk. The intensity of the direct current is larger than the anisotropic magnetic field of the soft magnetic layer and is smaller than the coercive force of the recording magnetic layer. As a consequence, the stabilization of the magnetic domain state of the soft magnetic layer of the disk can be realized to make an attempt of decreasing the magnetic noise and establishing stabilization with respect to the disturbance magnetic field.
