  • Publication number: 20080211790
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel, a gate driver, a data driver, and an initial driving control unit. The liquid crystal panel includes a plurality of liquid crystal cells. Each liquid crystal cell is defined by a gate line, a data line and a thin film transistor. The gate driver controls the thin film transistor connected to the gate line of each liquid crystal cell according to a gate control signal. The data driver outputs a pixel signal to the data line of the each liquid crystal cell according to a data control signal. The data driver includes a switch connected to the data line of the each liquid crystal cell. The initial driving control unit is structured to compare a clock count with a predetermined reference value and operable to alternately generate a first state signal and a second state signal based on the comparison. The unit applies the first state signal to the switch during a masking interval.

  • Patent number: 6842161
Abstract: A liquid crystal panel driving method and apparatus for a dot-inversion system is adaptive for constantly maintaining a voltage applied to each liquid crystal cell, wherein a ‘n?1’th(n?2) cell of adjacent pixel cells is charged and then a nth cell thereof is charged for a shorter time period than the ‘n?1’th(n?2) cell. Accordingly, the liquid crystal cells positioned adjacent to each other receive video signals having the same polarity during a different time period. Therefore, the liquid crystal cells positioned adjacent to each other to receive video signals having the same polarity can be coupled with an equal voltage.

  • Publication number: 20030117567
Abstract: A LOG liquid crystal display panel that is adaptive for reducing a line resistance of LOG signal line groups within a confined area. The picture display part within the panel has a plurality of liquid crystal cells arranged at the crossing between gate lines and data lines. Line-on-glass signal lines are provided at an outer area of the picture display connecting integrated circuits to each other and for applying driving signals required for driving the gate lines. The line-on-glass signal lines are separately provided at different substrates opposed to each other having a liquid crystal disposed therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20020024482
Abstract: A liquid crystal panel driving method and apparatus for a dot-inversion system is adaptive for constantly maintaining a voltage applied to each liquid crystal cell, wherein a ‘n−1’th (n≧2) cell of adjacent pixel cells is charged and then a nth cell thereof is charged for a shorter time period than the ‘n−1’th (n≧2) cell. Accordingly, the liquid crystal cells positioned adjacent to each other receive video signals having the same polarity during a different time period. Therefore, the liquid crystal cells positioned adjacent to each other to receive video signals having the same polarity can be coupled with an equal voltage.
