  • Patent number: 9175385
Abstract: A method of preparing a metal-carbon composite of a core-shell structure through simultaneous vaporization, in which a metal particle constitutes a core and carbon constitutes a shell, with the metal-carbon composite prepared in the form of powder and supported on a supporter, and a metal-carbon composite of a core-shell structure prepared by the same. In these methods, the metal-carbon composite of the core-shell structure is prepared through simultaneous vaporization of metal and carbon precursors and does not require separate post-processing. Further, in the metal-carbon composite of the core-shell structure prepared by these methods, a carbon shell covers a portion or the entirety of a surface of a metal core, whereby the metal particles can be prevented from suffering agglomeration, separation or corrosion when subjected to harsh process conditions at high temperatures for long durations under strong acid and alkali conditions, thereby providing high performance and high durability.

  • Publication number: 20150309898
Abstract: According to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method for performing storage control. Member storage media and a hot spare storage medium are identified in a storage system. The member storage media are members of a storage medium array, and the hot spare storage medium is for joining in the storage medium array when a member storage medium fails. Data on a member storage medium having a write amplification effect is migrated to the hot spare storage medium. In the member storage medium having a write amplification effect, an erase operation is performed on a storage medium where the migrated data is located. • Publication number: 20150061501
Abstract: An ambient light sensor includes a photoelectric conversion unit, a current control unit, a signal conversion unit and a comparison unit. The photoelectric conversion unit provides a photo current having a magnitude corresponding to illuminance of incident light to a first node. The current control unit generates a control current exponentially proportional to an elapse time based on a clock signal, provides the control current to the first node, and outputs a digital code corresponding to the elapse time in response to a reset signal. The signal conversion unit generates a comparison voltage logarithmically proportional to a sum of the photo current and the control current. The comparison unit generates the reset signal by comparing a magnitude of the comparison voltage and a magnitude of a reference voltage. The ambient light sensor generates the digital code effectively representing illuminance of ambient light that eyes of a human being perceives.
