  • Patent number: 7826578
Abstract: A data processing system including an input data port for receiving input data samples asynchronous to a native clock signal and having an input sample rate, a first sample rate converter for converting the data samples from the input sample rate to a sample rate synchronous with a rate of the native clock signal, and a data converter for converting data samples output from the first sample rate converter to another format. An analog to digital converter converts an analog signal into output data samples with a sample rate synchronous with the rate of the native clock signal, and a second sample rate converter converts the sample rate of the output data samples from the sample rate synchronous with the rate of the native clock signal to an output sample rate such that output data samples are asynchronous to the native clock signal.

  • Publication number: 20100262865
Abstract: A system and method for diagnosing a home appliance are disclosed. The home appliance outputs product information as a predetermined sound signal, and transmits the sound signal to a service center of a remote site over a communication network, such that a service technician of the service center can easily check a current status of the home appliance. The diagnostic system effectively detects data using multiple synchronous signals having a time difference, quickly diagnoses a current status or fault of the home appliance, provides a service for more correctly diagnosing a faulty operation of the home appliance, and increases user satisfaction and reliability.

  • Publication number: 20100262884
Abstract: A diagnostic server and a controlling method are provided. In the method, the diagnostic server receives a packet including at least one frame and performs error checking on each frame included in the packet. The diagnostic server receives a retransmitted packet upon determining from the result of error checking that a frame in the packet has an error. The diagnostic server performs error checking on each frame included in the retransmitted packet and restores the frame included in the packet based on the retransmitted packet when a frame, which is located in a location corresponding to the error frame, included in the retransmitted packet has no error. In the case where a packet including product information is transmitted, this method can reduce the number of retransmissions of the same packet required to acquire an error-free packet.

  • Publication number: 20100259398
Abstract: A home appliance and home appliance system are provided which enable a portable terminal not to recognize an acoustic signal sound corresponding to product information output by the home appliance as noise. Thus, the acoustic signal corresponding to product information output by the home appliance may be transmitted to a service center through the portable terminal. The home appliance may include a controller that sets a dead time at a predetermined interval of time with respect to a signal corresponding to product information to avoid a noise detection section of a portable terminal, a converter that converts the signal into an acoustic signal of a predetermined band, and a sound output device that outputs the acoustic signal as sound.

  • Publication number: 20100155605
Abstract: Provided are a terahertz wave transmission and reception (Tx/Rx) module package and method of manufacturing the same. The complete and separate terahertz wave Tx/Rx module package is implemented by simply aligning a silicon ball lens, a photoconductive antenna and a focusing lens, and thus facilitates generation or measurement of a terahertz wave. The terahertz wave Tx/Rx module package and method can remarkably reduce time and cost required to build a terahertz wave generation and measurement system, and simplify and miniaturize the terahertz wave generation and measurement system. In addition, characteristics of a terahertz wave generated by the photoconductive antenna can be simply measured. Furthermore, the terahertz wave Tx/Rx module package can be stored and transported with a photoconductive antenna, a silicon ball lens and a focusing lens kept aligned as they are, and also it is possible to minimize pollution of terahertz wave devices caused by surroundings.
