  • Patent number: 7503113
Abstract: A system and method for reconfiguring an airfoil of a turbine vane segment. In at least one embodiment, the system may be used to straighten an airfoil of a turbine vane segment to remove lean, twist, or racking, or any combination thereof. The airfoil may be straightened by applying a load to an inner shroud in a direction that is generally tangential to an outer shroud of the turbine vane segment. Orifices may be cut into the airfoil suction side, inboard of the outer shroud, to facilitate the straightening process. The orifices may be sealed upon completion of the process.

Abstract: Provided is a field emission display (FED) capable of driving on the basis of current and preventing leakage current caused by thin film transistors (TFTs). The FED includes: a plurality of unit pixels including an emission element in which cathode luminescence of a phosphor occurs and a TFT for driving the emission element; a current source for applying a scan signal to each unit pixel; and a voltage source for applying a data signal to each unit pixel. Here, the on-current of the current source is high enough to take care of the load resistance and capacitance of a scan row within a given writing time, and the off-current of the current source is so low that the electron emission of each pixel can be ignored. In addition, the pulse amplitude or pulse width of the data signal applied from the voltage source is changed, and thereby the gray scale of the display is represented.

  • Patent number: 7450115
Abstract: The system efficiently interfaces with display data using a single-chip module consisting of a Micro-Processor Unit (MPU) and a video CODEC. GUI data and video data are effectively displayed through LCD interfaces, respectively equipped in both of MPU and video CODEC, when two individual chips of MPU and video CODEC are incorporated into a single-chip module. The MPU and video CODEC may each be equipped with their own LCD interfaces. Thereby, GUI data of MPU and decoding video data of video CODEC are transmitted out to an external LCD driver for performing a display. The system for interfacing with display data is available for various multimedia applications, since a display of video CODEC and MPU can be more efficiently and freely performed through the method of data transmission using a LCD interface commonly supported by a MPU.

  • Publication number: 20080267116
Abstract: A method and system for selecting a route in a wireless network for the transmission of a data packet between wireless nodes in said network using a modified link-state routing algorithm wherein only a limited number of broadcast messages are generated to synchronize the link-state database throughout the wireless network. A subset of nodes called portal nodes within the network are elected to do the broadcasting for the entire network. Each portal node broadcasts an announcement of its identity to all of the wireless nodes. Each wireless node responds to these broadcasts to select one of the portal nodes as its root portal node. It then identifies a unicast route back to its root portal node, and sends a link-state register message to this portal node. These link-state register messages received by each portal node are aggregated by them and are broadcast to each of the wireless nodes for storage.
