    Abstract: Some aspects of this disclosure include apparatuses and methods for implementing power consumption mitigation techniques for downlink transmission of a high priority payload in wireless communication networks. For example, an electronic device includes a transceiver and a processor. The processor is configured to receive, using the transceiver and from a second electronic device, a preamble associated with a first payload. The processor is further configured to determine, based at least on the preamble, that a second payload is to be received. The processor is further configured to receive, from the second electronic device, an overload marker symbol (OMS) and determine, based at least on the OMS, whether the second payload is to be received following the OMS. The processor is further configured to transition the transceiver to, or maintain the transceiver in, an awake state in response to determining that the second payload is to be received following the OMS.

    Abstract: A protective dam can relieve stress in a chip assembly of a high-power semiconductor device module used in electric vehicle or industrial applications. Some chip assemblies that incorporate copper spacers for thermal dissipation can cause the device module to become vulnerable to cracking. Adding a protective dam can absorb stress to prevent damage to materials surrounding the chip assembly. Various types of protective dams are presented, including high profile flexible protective dams, low profile flexible protective dams, metallic protective dams, and integral protective dams. The protective dams can be incorporated into a high-power semiconductor device module that features single sided or dual sided cooling via direct bond metal structures.

Another embodiment regards an OPA with an on-chip beam expander for small beam divergence with a relatively low number of channels.

In implementations the package does not include a spacer between the die and the first metallic layer and does not include a spacer between the die and the second metallic layer. In implementations the first insulator layer and the second insulator layer are exposed through the encapsulant or are mechanically coupled with metallic layers exposed through the encapsulant.

Moreover, the encrypted A-control subfield may be separated from the payload in the frame by one or more additional subfields or may be adjacent to the payload in the frame. Furthermore, the MAC header may include an indicator that indicates whether the A-control subfield is encrypted. Additionally, the frame may include a preamble that indicates whether the A-control subfield is encrypted. The frame may be received by the second electronic device. After receiving the frame, the second electronic device may decrypt the A-control subfield.

A first device determines a channel occupancy time (COT) to be shared by the first device and at least one second device for transmissions on a shared radio frequency band; selects a first time slot during the COT for a transmission; and performs the transmission in the first time slot by extending the transmission to a first guard period of the first time slot or to a second guard period of a second time slot prior to the first time slot during the COT. By doing so, a channel access procedure requiring a smaller time gap between transmissions can be selected and performed, which can thus improve the flexibility of channel access procedures for SL transmission in the shared frequency band.

A system to implement the instant techniques may include a system comprised of a user communications equipment and a LEO constellation. In further implementations, the UE may include additional receive only beamformers. The LEO constellation can have a regenerative payload or bent pipe, and can include orbits at different altitudes. Methods as described herein may include a procedure by which the user equipment and LEO satellite work together to identify candidate serving satellites, and select the one that allows to meet the power density requirements to avoid interfering with the GEO satellites.
