The channel state judging section includes: a channel prediction section for predicting the channel state of the inputted signal by using the field sync; an N number of buffers for storing the state information regarding the N number of channels predicted by means of the N number of the field syncs; a calculating section for calculating a difference between the state information regarding the N number of channels stored in the N number of buffers; and a judging section for judging the channel state on the basis of the calculated difference.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a signal constructing method according to an adaptive packet format in a MIMO-WLAN (Multi-input multi-output Wireless LAN) system. A method is used to construct a plurality of signals in a MIMO-WLAN, with transmitting a data packet as a plurality of signals via a plurality of antennas. The method includes the steps of: constructing a data packet to include a preamble for packet transmission, an additional information region for data packet transmission in MIMO-WLAN system, and a service data unit; distributing data of the preamble to at least one of the plurality of signals; distributing data of the additional information region to at least one of the plurality of signals; and distributing data of the service data unit to at least one of the plurality of signals. The method is compatible with existing wireless LAN technology standard mode, and also provides high-speed data transmission rate.

The first and second equalizers, interacting with the Trellis decoder, enable the equalization performance and speed of the channel equalizer to be enhanced.

    Abstract: Equalizing method and apparatus for single carrier system having an improved equalization performance is disclosed, which includes: a section setting unit for setting filter taps having a predetermined section corresponding to the predicted multi-path; a repeat setting unit for setting filter taps of a repetition section by making the set predetermined section repetitive periodically; and a filter unit for filtering the multi-path by updating the coefficients of the filter taps of the set repetition section. The repeat setting unit sets the filter taps of the repetition section corresponding to an operation characteristic of the filter unit. Accordingly, the apparatus can improve equalization performance by setting filter taps corresponding to the predicted multi-path and updating only the set coefficients of the filter taps. Further, the apparatus can improve equalization performance in dynamic channel circumstances in which the multi-path changes.
